I like the physical controls. I actually just traded off my truck over the weekend and the climate controls being through the screen were a major part of that decision. It still seems like the switches here are pretty minimal and might be annoying - do you have to go through the screen when your windshield starts to fog?
I don't stand a lot, but it is nice if I wake up and my back is sore. Also gives me better adjustability with the office chair, lets me set the height just right.
Later worked as a govt contractor and could leave my laptop at the office 90% of the time. Never realized how good that was until I switched back to a job with an on-call rotation.
Custom ringtones on my old Nokia were always fun. I guess I'm old and lame now and just have the standard iPhone ringtone.
My Nest Hub Max will only show the camera in the old Nest app while it never loads in the Google Home app.
I'm thinking I may have to try something else in the near future.
Govt > contractor > sub-contractor > employee was pretty common. I never knew of anyone being a direct contractor to the agency since the contracts were so large and involved a lot of employees.
Wrote a script to scrape pictures off an old website from the Wayback Machine.
Wrote another program that scraped some data from a posted Apple Music playlist then used the data to generate a Spotify playlist with the same songs.
I've written several other smaller things related to Arduino and lighting but nothing too special.
I would think there is still plenty of room to crop a single image down from something like a new Canon 1D. Even just making a composite image if really needed sounds much easier.
Just because there are protests, etc. going on doesn't mean the entire city is on fire...
Is there research on this? Just wondering since I ended up having issues with nearsightedness in my early 20s but feel like I spent a lot more time outdoors as a child compared to children these days.
The issue with fixes gets even worse when you live in an older city and most of the homes are 80+ years old. It was a nightmare when you start to think about all the little things that are eventually going to need repaired/replaced in the not so distant future.
For now I am happy not having to do any yard work and only having to pay and electric and internet bill. The simplicity is great but I do miss having a little more space for storage/hobbies.
I guess maybe it could work assuming you fully control a single product. Everywhere I have worked we need the estimates simply for coordination of all the moving parts.
