WSJ desperate to make it sound like California’s initiatives are backfiring.
The iphone app controls feel like +/- treble or bass and that’s it. Felt like a real letdown, it does amplify audio just feels like loudness is all you control.
No remapping of frequencies, no fancy dsp.
There’s an open source hearing aid project that’s pretty good, more flexibility with filters definitely cooler:
You’re safe New York!
Trying to use midi out from it is very weird, it’s all pitch end and +1/-1 for strum direction..
Before netflix, you could watch dumb videos on youtube, that’s about it. They deserve to be paid for the market they built.
* Convert audio clip to MIDI drum track
* Convert audio clip to MIDI melody
* Convert audio clip to MIDI harmony
None of them work exceptionally well but they get they get enough done that they’re useful for a first pass approximation in many situations.
But it doesn’t matter what I think because I’m not descended from a race of people who were enslaved and worked in the fields.
Those academics who might have a closer relationship with that identity are reasonably allowed to take umbrage. Even if I never meet someone who feels this way it’s fine with me.
The best part of it is the solution is simple and painless.
We had a similar situation when people started phasing out the phrase “master/slave” in computing.
There’s no reason why either one should make someone upset or combative. It’s offensive to someone who deserves to be offended if they wish.

The autopilot team didn’t like being quizzed on basic c/c++ questions and that was the first time almost all of AutoPilot quit.

But if for some reason one of the cogs in the big machine fails you - you are screwed. There is no real recovery beyond tweeting @ElonMusk on the day once a year has his heart reinserted to legally be considered alive.
I’m sorry to hear your situation - mine was different, more positive.
The line that separates us is one broken cog. Musk customer support is the worst and I’m sorry you can’t enjoy what has been a life changing product for me.
Hang in there, it (Musk venture customer service) sometimes gets better.
They already have (pricey) fast internet.
Starlink isn’t for them. It’s for idiots like me who live far enough out of town that nobody wants to run cable or fiber to me.
I’ve literally offered to pay for “whatever it takes” to AT&T and Comcast on several occasions only to be told it’s just never going to happen.
I don’t like Elon Musk, what he stands for, how he manages companies, staff or social media. But I’ll throw fists with anyone who wants to talk poorly of Starlink.
My only option for internet was 5mbit/768k. Now I can play FPS and stream 4k video to multiple screens simultaneously.
Until we as a nation (USA) start investing in telecomm infrastructure Starlink is going to be as good as it gets for me.
Removing the ability to _comment_ would be something different…
* Change your user-agent to a real user-agent, cycle it frequently.
* Done.
As an employee its part of your job duties to not infect or kill any customers or co-workers.
A chef who doesn’t wash their hands after using the restroom would be fired. Why would not being vaccinated be any different?
