Samo is Slovenian version of Sam. "samo" means "only"/"just" but pronounced a bit differently than Samo.

Any idea when forming a LLC in Delaware becomes available?
nitam··on Ask HN: Do you aspire to be a venture capitalist?
yes
nitam··on Ask HN: Just launched. Zero users. No clue how to market. Resource suggestions?
This is a good idea for a little bit later. First you need to understand what to write about. What are the keywords, what are they looking for, etc.
nitam··on Ask HN: Just launched. Zero users. No clue how to market. Resource suggestions?
First, check your core hypotheses.

> Still, the passion expressed for browsing independent bookshops through articles, social media, and other projects is immense. > I know I'm hitting an area dear to many...question is if I have the right angle.

1. How do you know that? For example. I love custom made chess pieces. I'd never buy (or use) an app to browse different chess boards/pieces etc. I need to touch them, talk to a person that made them, etc.

2. Can you find 3 people who want this (i.e. give you money) ?

If yes: What do they say? Why do they want(love?) this app? Where did you find them? How many others like them are out there?

If no: Ask them why they don't like it.

Anyway, if you want to talk more about it contact me. I'd love to help.

Don't listen to "some people". Do what's best for your customers.

If you had a cure for cancer, would you promote it?

nitam··on “Nobody will pay $10,000 for an Apple Watch” and other reasons you can’t sell
That's exactly how you make a sales pitch. It doesn't matter what year it is, it matters who the customer is.
nitam··on Ask HN: I'm an actor. I need an SaaS idea that allows me to act full-time
Join 30x500 or TheFoundation. They'll teach you how to find plenty of ideas. And also how to get them off the ground without a VC.

nitam··on Ask HN: Solo Founder SaaS or App Success Stories?
1. This podcast has a few great examples: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/starting-from-nothing-fo...

2. unicornfree.com or @amyhoy on twitter and products coming out of her 30x500 class

nitam··on Zynga and Groupon are going down. And why that’s a good thing.
I am not "denigrating success". I simply don't agree they are (or ever going to be) successful as a businesses.

I agree, paradigm shift was not the best phrase to explain my point.

nitam··on Starting a business isn't as crazy and risky as they say
Any data of how many founders who fail go start the second startup? I think that probably 90+% startups fail but founders failure rate is probably much lower. For me definition of founder failure would be giving up and going back to big company and not trying again.

I really like this evolutionary-way of writing. Small little improvements and changes until it sounds better and fits better to the rest of the paragraph/text/code. I found out that if i am disciplined enough when writing code this way the result is much much better. When i was working in corporate world there was always some distraction (boss, time constraints , ...) to break this flow resulting in not so good code.
nitam··on Web 4.0 Manifesto
Maybe there is some natural limit(2.718...) and we shall never reach {profitability, semantic web,...} :)
nitam··on Full Chess Game with AI in 5k of Javascript
I like the idea but it has some problems. I played 2 games and in both of them it left pieces undefended. And when delivered checkmate he ate my defended queen with king :)
nitam··on 15 Successful Entrepreneurs Who Didn't Need College
My thoughts exactly but i am having tough time conveying that to others. I am not sure if it is inherent human "thing" to like titles or it will slowly fade away like having finished high/elementary school.
nitam··on Quitting job
It really depends on your ability to time manage and keep focus. I know i can not do it. Its much easier for me to work for 16h and sleep till i am rested and then work some more than to follow strict schedule. Focusing on two projects (one being interesting and the other usually dull) is also very hard. There is also commute time ...
nitam··on Quitting job
when you think about it its just a trade or investment. I have some money to survive a few months and i'll trade it for interesting work and a "quasi-slim" shot at financial independence. When/if i run out i will have to go back to pointless meetings so its a pretty big motivator and that can not be bad :)
