Thought the sounds would engage him but he's very entertained by the center black button expanding menu on that app. Now I need to make a bird game...
He likes both our phones and our tablets, mostly to chew on but he sometimes engages in weird social ways. He'll let me scratch his head while it is resting on the phone but otherwise not, only my wife gets to scratch his head usually. It isn't a usual one-person-bird bonding thing, I can otherwise interact with him normally, train him, and hang out with him but the head scratching is her time unless there's a phone there.
He also likes my stylus/Pencil but mostly because there's a nice soft tip to destroy on the end.
For instance, Logic Pro

Many DAWs stay out of tunings and leave that for the individual virtual instruments. There's a standard for that named Scala (yes, also a language).
Despite the churn, there are some great core technologies for the front end. Native browser functionality is much better than it used to be.

Of course I've seen them before but was struck by the interesting name.
I met a Flat Earther a couple of weeks ago, in the interest of building common ground and understanding I started talking to him about his sources and journey into this belief. His journey started with a trusted friend passing on a set of videos presenting this 'alternate' view of reality.
He passed on a few references, names that when searched bring up the usual set of QAnon results and unsavory backgrounds interspersed with links to sites and streams I've never heard of. I stopped at this shallow look at things but an intrepid journalist could map a variety of sources of livestreams and recorded talks that spread this.
Mostly personal and a little bit of photos

I imagine you could have fun with the trackpad, it definitely works with the KBD/mouse combo.
All 16k of RAM was glorious, I already knew BASIC from the stack of Apple IIs in the library computer lab. Wrote some rudimentary generative art and music types of programs and was just starting to PEEK and POKE my way into machine code.
Unfortunately my mother's mental health condition (now treated, thankfully) viewed the noisy machine as a threat and she disassembled and destroyed it. I found my way back to computing via electronics and an EE tech degree. DOS on the 8086 just wasn't quite the same a few years later.
The nostalgia factor is powerful and getting something like this is tempting, although I've fired up emulators and dabbled a bit in the past and realize that I'm still looking to the future, not the past.
Social booking site, rose to prominence a little over 10 years ago after del.icio.us was bought by Yahoo and started to suck. Wound up buying del.icio.us. The creator, Maciej Ceglowski, is a good writer with a blog at https://idlewords.com/

I know about Electron and Tauri and all that but this seems like an intriguing possibility to work on.
Apple Diagnostics check memory as well, though maybe not as thoroughly as the Microsoft or memtest86 do (multiple passes).
I've had memory errors that only appeared on two of eight passes through the whole memory test overnight. They certainly caused occasional issues with games though.
I've been using wastewater data to adjust my behavior since official testing and reporting is down and under-reporting cases. Detected COVID goes up, I reduce my exposure and remind my vulnerable loved ones. Detected COVID goes back down, I adjust my behavior accordingly.
