It's like saying Apple is not Bauhaus.
It's a "Memphis style" variant. Pretty trendy these days. Now the industry is starting to move to "Neumorphism".
When it comes to starting up, resilience and determination are much more important skills than outstanding programming skills. Or at least that's what experience has taught many of us.
Nowadays you can do a lot with few resources thanks to no-code tools [0], try to keep it simple and reduce LoC as much as possible. If you need a backend, tools like Firebase/Netlify/Saasify [1] are enough to build an MVP and get the ball rolling. And of course, do not try to build something that has 0 demand, just try to build the MVP that meets the demand you have identified and then take it from there.

We've had a global underreaction that didn't pan out exactly well due to politicians and media sticking the head in the sand while the outbreak started in China.
So I disagree, this is good, the situation is critical and people need to be fully aware/informed.
Apple will do whatever it takes to protect its closed ecosystem, and if that means killing PWAs built with open web technologies they'll provide any dubious excuse to justify it (security, privacy, blahblah). They did the same back in 2010, killing a perfectly valid app platform that was picking up momentum, but they didn't control. A platform that was 5-10 years ahead of the "open web".
Looks like this time they won't use HTML5 as piss-poor excuse.

Maybe the article overcomplicates but with services like Netlify, Amplify or Firebase Hosting it's stupid easy and cheap, and there's no vendor lock-in.

Learning Elixir/Erlang/OTP has been a joy so far. It's a new and exciting world in the middle of so much js fatigue.

I think that reached this point is obvious that in our hyperconnected cities a containment is going to be very difficult if the R0 is 3+ and we don't shutdown commuting

And if you have success, grow and you need to hire, then be aware of employees who preach to "not put any effort into making riches richer and just do the minimum!"
What is groundbreaking is the concept of P2P value exchange. And that's what bitcoin really is, still a young PoC that will surely evolve or get superseded by a 2.0 tech.
