AI for energy storage and stuff
submissionscomments
indrex··on Prompting Claude Opus 5.5
Yes that solve the knowledge part but there are also steps I need to repeat. Example: how to run a code based on risk level. That requires a tool, not just text.
indrex··on Prompting Claude Opus 5.5
Are your projects standalone? Because why I need tooling is to carry over the learning and knowledge from one project to next.
indrex··on Anthropic Claude and API service outages
How they go down globally? All regions use the same infra?
indrex··on Why does Opus 5 feel worse to work with?
I had to setup hooks just to catch the and ban them in the CLIs. Most of what Claude writes is simply un-readable.
indrex··on NASA figured out how to keep its Voyager 2 probe running for another year
Topical - that’s the problem to solve for orbital data centers
indrex··on Incident Report: May 19, 2026 – GCP Account Suspension
Had similar experience with GCP. Terminated VMs six times, and responded zero times.
indrex··on I quit drinking for a year
I stopped mostly after Claude Code. 1. Too many interesting things to do 2. I asked it to rate my diet and maintain a streak - which now I don’t want to lose
indrex··on AI may be making us think and write more alike
…and the first paragraph has an em dash
indrex··on As a developer, my most important tools are a pen and a notebook
I thought so too. But I would rather use docstrings and comments because: - Readable by LLMs/others in the context of the code - Searchable - Version controlled
indrex··on Ask HN: Go deep into AI/LLMs or just use them as tools?
I develop AI for a living and I don’t understand the internals of it either, just as I don’t understand the internals of Intel architecture. My job is to build, not to fit information into my mind.
indrex··on A single line of code cost $8000
Plenty of (valid) criticism in the comments, but I appreciate the developer for publishing it.
indrex··on Segmenting Credit Card Customers with K-Means
At first glance this seems to be a run of the mill clustering project. Why is it on the HN front page? Am I missing something?
indrex··on Show HN: A modern Jupyter client for macOS
When I first started coding, I wished there was an “app” for it where I just start writing code. Now there is.
indrex··on Your Phone, Minus the Distractions
Or just use a cellular watch like Apple Watch Ultra instead of carrying a phone with you all the time.
indrex··on OpenAI Is Readying a Search Product to Rival Google, Perplexity
Perplexity is big enough to be named in Bloomberg?
indrex··on Game of Life, simulating itself, infinitely zoomable
This proves it won’t take much to simulate reality.
indrex··on Ask HN: What happened to normal-sized smartphones?
I sort of use Apple Watch as a small phone when I don’t want to lug around the iPhone
