hanafudafan··on I've now disabled systemd-oomd on my Fedora desktops
I never started, I went right from Debian 5 to OpenBSD.
hanafudafan··on TSMC founder Morris Chang says globalization and free trade 'almost dead'
It is, indeed. Nobody can honestly claim it isn't.
hanafudafan··on Someone shot at substations in North Carolina, knocking out power for thousands
Sheriff is now saying the "right wing attack" rumors were started online with zero evidence. By everybody's favorite looney troon Charlotte Clymer.
hanafudafan··on Activision’s faulty anti-cheat software
Yes let's form another government bureau to make sure that VIDEO GAMES are LESS BUGGY lol. Or, you can just do without your bing bing wahoo.
hanafudafan··on Activision’s faulty anti-cheat software
In the USA at least this could be a felony DMCA violation.
hanafudafan··on MIRC ended its lifetime license agreement with all who purchased it 10 years out
I don't anal but this is indeed a common practice.
hanafudafan··on Rage Against the (Smart) Machine – Why I want my TV to be ‘dumb.’
Amazon Sidewalk and dirt cheap 4/5g are appearing in many products including TVs - how do you audit yours to ensure it's not simply going over your head?
hanafudafan··on Startup backed by Tesla investor promises $300k flying car by 2025
This is a heck of a promise. What's he backing it up with?
hanafudafan··on The studio of a music producer that makes music for 40 years
HS series monitors were designed to replace the NS-10's and have the same sound. And they're the best selling monitors, have been since they were introduced to replace the NS-10's. Of course today there are many companies offering "better" monitors if you listen to Internet placement and sponsored posts, but nothing has emerged to upset their position.

Kudos on trying though, I see you guys everywhere. What brand are you hawking? Don't be coy.

hanafudafan··on Nervous system manipulation by electromagnetic fields from monitors (2003)
Schizos were right again, that's dangerous.
hanafudafan··on Amazon tops Netflix as biggest subscription streamer in U.S.
I not only believe this, I have been led to believe this by Amazon itself. It's not possible to get free 2 day shipping here any more, things typically take a week or more.
hanafudafan··on Ask HN: How to Recover Gmail Account
Give up, you can't. It's over. Switch and never use Google anything again.
hanafudafan··on Judge finds no rights violations in FBI seizure Beverly Hills safe-deposit boxes
No, it's true. Same with domestic intelligence - they're all rotten. Ask anybody.
hanafudafan··on Amazon tops Netflix as biggest subscription streamer in U.S.
Indeed, but with Prime going down the toilet, this might not last.
hanafudafan··on Musk’s Twitter Antics Are Tarnishing Tesla as Its EV Rivals Are Catching Up
Anybody else just reveling in the crying and moaning since Musk took away the intelligence community's favorite plaything? We're going to be shocked and amazed at the types of corruption that various Atlantic-circle governments have been engaging in. Tesla's been under fire by the financial rags and their talking heads for years, only the excuses change.

Absolutely delicious tears, I never knew they could be so precious.

hanafudafan··on Emacs should become a Wayland compositor
Correction, normally it connects to x.org.
hanafudafan··on Emacs should become a Wayland compositor
Absolutely not.
hanafudafan··on MSN replaced journalists with AI publishing fake news about mermaids and Bigfoot
I'd rather have machines writing fake news than humans, personally.

Who owned the slave ships?
hanafudafan··on YouTube is censoring videos critical of the China Communist Party
The UN has a special web site where they advocate for the Great Replacement. The technical term is Replacement Migration and it's not a "theory" it's actual UN policy [1]. You see whites, especially those who come from countries which benifited from the Enlightenment, are restive, not used to the yoke of slavery. So they need to be replaced. And they need to be monitored and silenced until this replacement is at such a level that they can be dealt with more directly, as the hated and feared minority they are destined to be. It's only natural that the people monitoring and censoring these troublesome racist conspiracy theorists should come from non-Enlightenment global backgrounds.

hanafudafan··on TSA now wants to scan your face at security. Here are your rights
When you step onto a plane and the air smells worse than a dirty sock that's been been used to clean up after sex and left to ferment for a month, yet, it's fair to blame the plane.
hanafudafan··on The studio of a music producer that makes music for 40 years
Those are (now) THE standard studio monitor, since the NS-10's were axed.
hanafudafan··on The Truth Matters and Secular Humanists Should Defend It
Pious lies work much better, most people aren't interested in truth. The enlightment is completely dead, why try to resurrect these old, white, male driven ideas?
hanafudafan··on macOS Monterey still vulnerable to CVE-2022-40303
Who can stop me from compiling and installing some software though?
hanafudafan··on Apple Makes Plans to Move Production Out of China
It doesn't get cheaper than Uiygur slaves. It's impossible.

Edit: Weeeger? Huioghur?

I simply don't fly any more. It's just not something I'll do. The last three times I flew, I got sick as well. Cabin filters are obviously not changed as regularly as they used to be. And Boeing's $6 an hour employees will literally KILL YOUR WHOLE FAMILY through their negligence as the Boeing compliance people chuckle about fooling the FAA in email chains.

Big Tech is Indian. It's Chinese. It's international. But one thing it isn't is American. It's unrealistic for people to expect that these solidly multi-national firms would uphold values such of freedom of speech, that the majority of the globe don't hold dear. China never had an Enlightment, nor did India. Neither of these countries value freedom of speech or expression, so it's strage to think that "our" big multinational tech firms, with their hordes of foreign and non-integrated first generation immigrant employees, would share these values.

Censorship on Twitter was driven by first generation children of immigrants, who clearly never had to learn about American values, obviously don't respect them, and in fact make it clear by their actions that they resent these values. We need to better integrate our citizen-immigrants, and their children, and inculcate the enlightment values which are the foundation of America in them. Perhaps forcibly. Because if we don't, they will destroy our society.

They're too cozy, the slave labor's just too compelling. I have very serious doubts that they'll follow through.
