IE in Win98 in Chrome in Ubuntu in VMWare in Win7
Tried to click on "View Details" but it doesn't show more information. Sends a bad message w.r.t being enterprise ready. (Sys info : Chrome + Ubuntu)
Unfortunately, it's no longer maintained [0], plenty of unfixed issues. You could try a recent fork [1] :

There's OpenHunt, it's slowly gaining momentum www.openhunt.co
"Facebook launched a print and digital media campaign [...] asking users to give a missed call, automatically sending a message to the regulator in support of Free Basics."
i.e. A lot of those who gave a missed call ended up sending a message to TRAI, likely without their knowledge.

Finally I gave in & upgraded to iOS 9.x (on iPad 4). Suddenly Safari has started freezing on lightweight simple websites. Is that better experience part of "planned obsolescence" ? It's more or less the same story with any mobile device after 2-3 years.
"Facebook has been urging users to sign a petition that claims that “a small, vocal group of critics… demand that people pay equally to access all Internet services, even if that means one billion people can’t afford to access any services,” and that “unless you take action now, India could lose access to free basic Internet services, delaying progress towards digital equality for all Indians."
Facebook has resorted to slander when they can't give transparent answers to the issues raised against Free Basics.

What's you definition of elite ? There's a very diverse background of people who have spoken against "Free Basics". Also keep in mind, that your average Joe won't even bother to read the fine print about the pros/cons of "Free Basics". So in a way, you have to depend on someone with a keen interest to voice an opinion.
"When people use the Free Basics mobile website, information is temporarily decrypted on our secure servers to ensure proper functionality of the services and to avoid unexpected charges to people."
There are a thousand effective ways in which you can help the underprivileged. Partnering with ISPs to decide what's "basic" internet is not one of them.
P.S. Many professors from India's top tech institutes, startups, entrepreneurs & other eminent people have spoken against "Free Basics".

There's a grim side to the booming multi-billion dollar e-commerce - the delivery guys. They are carrying huge, heavy bags on motorcycles [0][1], rushing to meet their delivery targets, braving the elements, earning a measly salary with little or no health benefits. There should be laws to regulate how much weight/size of bags they can carry. They are delivering smiles to millions of homes, but they can hardly feed a family.

Is that what you want to believe or can you back it up ? I think your statement couldn't be further from the truth.
Last time, they received over a million e-mails [0], and that did have a positive effect. Let's 10x that.
Another note, Facebook is spending millions to lobby & market "Free Basics" in India.
More examples of their machinations, stressing on the word "accidental" : http://recode.net/2015/12/21/facebook-accidentally-asks-u-s-... .
The current version is artsy. Thanks for sharing this though. Looks very cool.
That's tight. Do you face any resistance and have to train your mind or does it come easy when you sleep timely ?
Can this be backed up statistically ? Can a born genius have their spark extinguished by adverse circumstances or poor parenting ? I feel the exceptional ones march on their way to genius despite family support.
Google just made public their latest version of the Quality Raters Guidelines (PDF linked from the blog post)
Which is just summarizing what the blog post is about (probably a G+ share that got plus'd a lot). Nothing against the commentator, it's rather their ranking/voting system that needs to be fixed.
On a related note, the linked BBC article talks about phones needing a "bed mode" to "protect sleep". If you are really struggling with eye strain / disturbed sleep, a better advice would be to turn away your gadgets well before bed time and avoid the compulsive behavior of reading on your phone all the time. I tried f.lux along with better ambient lighting, screen dimming etc. (suggestions found on HN). The benefits were marginal. I would still wake up with groggy eyes & felt sluggish until I experimented with the rule of "no gadgets after dinner". That helped way more.
Don't get me wrong, it may be an awesome piece of software for those who have to be in front of the screen for longer duration.
