Stop using their user-hostile service? They need my eyeballs in order to sell me to advertisers. If they are creating features that turn users away, their bottom line may be impacted enough that they reevaluate their user-hostile business practices.

How would you determine if the new user interface provided (or not) any [new or perceived] level of privacy?
gorhill's (developer of uBO) explanation from[1] below:
> uBO-Extra is needed to deal with IL stuff because the IL inline script appears at the top of the served HTML page -- before any other secondary resource-pulling tag. uBO-Extra injects its content script declaratively, i.e. on every page, hence it will always run before IL stuff.
The root cause of why it is needed is because of a bug with web socket implementation in chrome.[2]
Additional info on why both are needed (& why for chrome but not firefox) in some reddit threads.[3][4][5]

You'll leave an orphaned article info table row with this approach but you can hide the article row itself with uBlock Origin procedural filters[1].
Add the following to 'My Filters':
news.ycombinator.com##table tr tr:has([href*="nytimes.com"])

This seems incorrect. They are more common than you think, especially in neighborhoods built within the last 30-40 years.
> I love the form factor, and I just ordered the "new" Airpods, because I am hoping the battery life has improved - the old ones are basically a disposable item after the first year, from my experience.
The OP complained about battery life and the $200 "disposable" headphones he bought a year ago, but happily bought the next iteration, hence my comment.
Fool me once...
News at 11.
Many may find this shocking or upsetting however I personally find Google Timeline[1] creepier than this set of data.
Not sure if this is what you mean exactly, but uBlock Origin (as well as a lot of other Firefox extensions) can be installed[1] on Firefox for Android.[2]

Glad you find it useful!
Personal anecdote: While developing & maintaining a list it can be difficult to know if others are finding it useful because once it is being used (if it is done properly and doesn't break sites), there should be almost no feedback from the user base because they may just think the web is working as it should be and don't realize why it is how it is.
Thus, we get dumb laws by politicians so they can point to what they have done for the average user that has no understanding of how any of the internet works. The web of today for me has really just turned into a problem of critical mass. For example, Google Eternal September[1], early adopters (nerds) have been going through this problem on the internet for awhile, and I honestly feel like it's never going to get better for us.
C'est la vie.
> in their quest to utterly dominate the global political economy
> featuring Justice Neil Gorsuch rather than Judge Merrick Garland
> Supreme Court rulings like the lifeline given to the practice of gerrymandering, the endorsement of Trump’s Muslim travel ban, the gutting of public sector unions, and the defense of bakers who don’t want to serve gay people
To me, there is extremely biased (political) language throughout the entire piece.
