I think you have just described LinkedIn's business model, minus the fact that you don't get the money but the filter provider does.
wzsddtc··on Japan’s 72 Microseasons (2015)
I could be wrong, but isn't this the Solar Seasons from China? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_term

Though I would not be surprised as it has been very interesting to see Japan and Korea preserving many of the traditional east Asian cultures a lot better than China itself.

wzsddtc··on ByteDance plans TikTok IPO to win U.S. deal as deadline looms
You are right to a degree. Vine at its peak had less than 30 engineers total and at most 1 person working on the "engine".
wzsddtc··on Antibody tests show what parts of NYC were hit hardest
As someone who lived at Corona for a few years I am not surprised as the daily exposure to number of strangers for the residents is probably also one of the highest. The neighborhood is composed of mostly people who cannot work from home (restaurant workers and delivery agents who work in Manhattan). It has a very close proximity to the crowded 7 train and relatively cheap rent in the surrounding area.

Edit: grammar.

(I usually try to not comment when there's not much value added)...

but I see what you did there...

wzsddtc··on G7 statement canceled: US wants to call it the Wuhan virus
The WHO guideline has changed since 2015 (https://www.who.int/mediacentre/news/notes/2015/naming-new-d...) and all the virus discovered after has been named differently, I am not sure if anything was "manipulated" unless we think CCP knew this was going to happen 4 years earlier.
wzsddtc··on Instagram’s Co-Founders Said to Step Down from Company
Snapchat had video calling for a long time and live video is straight from Music.ly and Twitter.
wzsddtc··on Dock-less bike share is ready to take over U.S. cities
They have been in Changsha as well. I have only heard good things about it. The city is much smaller than Shanghai and people rely on it for the last km when they get off the few subway lines that exist there.
wzsddtc··on Why we never thank open source maintainers
In Chinese it's give people an inch and they would want a foot.
wzsddtc··on Java Reflection, 1000x Faster
It really depends on the annotation processor and what kind of code you are trying to generate. In the author's case it shouldn't take that long nor would it be hard to develop and debug.
wzsddtc··on “This project violates the MIT license of Gemstash”
I may be in the minority that agrees with you here.

Giving constructive feedback / discussion that may lead to GCP supporting the OP's project may be a better way than going directly to "I'm going to get my lawyers involved".

From the current discussion it also looks like some people don't even agree that this repo steals from the OP.

wzsddtc··on Zhou Youguang, creator of the Pinyin writing system, has died
This article is very accurate. Everyone in mainland uses pinyin daily for inputs. Only the older generation uses hand wiring for inputs.
wzsddtc··on Best Android Libraries for Developers
This was a useless list because many of the libraries here are outdated, the author did not provide reasoning or comparison against others.
wzsddtc··on An event bus framework for event driven programming
Event Bus often get abused, I made this framework for Android so that the framework can scale as you have more and more features and developers working on it: https://github.com/edisonw/PennStation
wzsddtc··on We Hired a Blind Coder
Came here to say exactly this as well! This definitely makes one feel better about the world! :D

wzsddtc··on Buck: A high-performance build tool for Android
Running it via command line. Android Studio still uses Gradle.
wzsddtc··on Buck: A high-performance build tool for Android
The Vine team is using Buck and Gradle side by side to take advantage of both (Buck for dev, Gradle to use with standard Android tools) http://engineering.vine.co/post/117873038742/reducing-build-...
wzsddtc··on A better pull request
The benefit that you don't need a git server and can have the code running on different machines! :)
wzsddtc··on Will WhatsApp kill Slack?
I use HipChat and Slack everyday, and to be honest, they are not that much different at the moment for my use cases. The biggest thing Slack has over HipChat right now is the media postings, they are much easier to navigate. However, I can see Slack improve so much faster than HipChat has HipChat did not really add much new features much after getting acquired. And HipChat's Android app is the worst (bad reconnecting policies).
wzsddtc··on Twitter Sort
that's not 100% true as well, you got omega and theta and others as well for the other cases.

Edit: See http://stackoverflow.com/questions/471199/what-is-the-differ...

wzsddtc··on Fitbit Data Now Being Used In The Courtroom
Those data can be used for good. We have had a user of my app telling us once that they were robbed had sleep voice recording from the app on and it recorded the whole robbery (with the robber threatening and the victim yelling, crying, and being scared. (The victim later shared the recording with us) The recording was used for police investigation and evidence for voice matching.
wzsddtc··on Amazon Mobile Analytics
every startup/mid-size company I worked/contracted for went through the same thing: Flurry sucks -> MixPanel too expensive -> Back to Flurry or GA.
wzsddtc··on Logo Interpreter
China here, also dated back 15 years.
wzsddtc··on Chromeos-apk – Run Android APKs on Chrome OS, OS X, Linux and Windows
We worked with the ARC team at Vine as a launch partner, there were 0 modifications that we had to do to get it working on ARC. The only difference was that the "bugs" we had to fix were all reproducible on Nexus devices as well BUT the threading model had to be more strict on ARC in terms accessing system resources.
wzsddtc··on Mobile trends, web and native
I agree as well. This is one of those correlation != causation cases.
wzsddtc··on All apps should be native. Who needs browsers and JavaScript?
This is totally possible via the Android Runtime on Chromebook demo at Google IO.
wzsddtc··on All apps should be native. Who needs browsers and JavaScript?
IMHO performance wise it is possible to get browsers to run apps at similar user experience level in the coming years, but the main problem with making HTML5 apps for cross platform is that each platform has unique capabilities and user expectations that one single app's UI/UX cannot satisfy.
