No. But if you need to change your directions, or search for something in the GPS, your eyes won't be on the road and you should pull over. If anything you're doing in your car is taking your focus away from operating a multi ton killing machine, then be an adult and stop it.
Because it's dangerous!! Figure out where you're going before driving off! If you get lost PULL OVER!
It's really not that difficult and it shows that you actually care about people in the world other than yourself.
We obviously haven't talked! I absolutely hate the new butterfly keyboards, it's bothering me as I type this! It makes me feel like I'm one of the attention seeking mechanical keyboard users...
Apple has been going downhill for quite a while now. Loud keyboards and giant phones...
That's possible, but with a range of only 15 miles and they're most likely only getting charged at night, that's a max revenue of around $35/day for a scooter. I doubt there's enough scooters maxing out each day to offset the losers.
This article says these scooters make $16/day in revenue?! Where are they making that kind of money? The scooters in my city just sit in the same place for DAYS without moving... I don't buy those numbers at all...
They covered my city with them recently and I'm yet to see anyone use them for actual transportation. I tried Bird out over the Thanksgiving holiday with my parents for fun. The app was a bit complicated but overall were pretty fun. Riding the scooter felt a bit dangerous and I wouldn't be able to bring anything back from a store on a scooter, so I'm not sure when I would use one. Also you can't ride them at night, so they're in no way an uber replacement.
Also my city is meeting tomorrow to discuss banning them. The writing seems to be on the wall for all these scooter startups. If anyone knows a good vehicle for shorting these companies, let me know ;)
Isn't a basic premise in finance that past results don't guarantee future returns? Why does their past predictions invalidate their current argument? Sounds like you just have a bias...
This is how apple will lose me as a customer. These giant phones are horrible. All their products are getting progressively shittier. No real Pro laptop, horrendous keyboards (even the new "quieter" ones), borderline unusable phones. What the actual fuck.
I hope so badly they build a phone that actually fits the human hand. This used to actually be a selling feature that they produced TV ads around.
All the arguments for large screens on phones are always so lame. Use a laptop if you need productivity or watch an actual TV for video, I want a real mobile device that fits in my pocket.
Is there really a parking problem, or is it more of a walking problem? I've yet to see a costco parking lot that doesn't have tons of empty spaces if you're willing to walk 2 minutes
Are the costco prices based on their warehouse pricing or their online pricing? I've seen lots of items that are up to 50% cheaper in the store than what they advertise online.
Another thing I really enjoy about spotify is their app's ability to pause a song on my laptop at work and press play on my phone when I get in my car and the song picks up right where I left it. And the remote control functionality during parties is great. They're also experimenting with some "auto-DJ" features which don't do too bad of a job for an algorithm :)
This offering looks nice, but half the bullet items listed as benefits were things that I already thought were guaranteed by AirBnB... This seems like an excuse to lower their standards on non-Plus listings.
I've been trying to get into snapchat for the past 2 months and I still just don't see the appeal. Every interaction I've had with someone on the platform could have just as easily happened in any other messenger platform (pick one of the 1000s out there). I'm only 29, but I feel way too old to be using snapchat. Maybe I'm missing something, but I see myself deleting the app this year.
My experience with those dispensaries is that they don't last too long. The ones I've seen stay open for years are all cash. I'd be curious to know if yours is doing something special to be able to accept credit cards.
It literally just did stop me from using this product... Just because some people choose to trust some companies with some of their data, doesn't mean that it isn't a valid issue.
This seems like it would really help solve my time tracking needs at work, but having this sending that data to their servers makes it a non starter. Time tracking is my #1 pain point at work right now and would signup today and pay if an offline version was made available.
