superfreek··on Everything wrong with MCP
Great point in the article about tools lacking output schemas. Makes reliable multi-step planning tough.

We based Xops (https://xops.net) on OpenRPC for this exact reason (disclosure: we are the OpenRPC founders). It requires defining the result schema, not just params, which helps plan how outputs connect to the any step's inputs. Feels necessary for building complex workflows and agents reliably.

superfreek··on Show HN: Fast Deep Reinforcement Learning Course
Congrats on the launch. I have seen your Deep RL tutorials circulating on YouTube. I like your presentation style: crisp and precise.
superfreek··on Ask HN: How to maintain a killer product documentation page
It's all about putting in the work. Not much programming expertise required.

superfreek··on Lawsuit filed alleging Google is paying Apple to stay out of the search business
As someone who has no idea about the legal system in the US, does the source have any grounding, and is there any chance this goes anywhere?
superfreek··on Photos are too flattering now
Photos are too flattering because of those tens of filters that are applied for no apparent reason.
superfreek··on Computer Vision at the Olympics: Tracking Sprinter Speeds
Cool project – I saw the speed estimates on the swimmers during the live feed and was curious how they did that. Are any teams using this for performance analysis ala MoneyBall? Seems like you could get some really interesting metrics from techniques like this that would take a ton of time to collect otherwise.
superfreek··on Dating in Delhi when you're poor
Delhi has a per capita annual income of 300,000 rupees ($4,615) - the highest in the country and three times the national average. But nearly half of the city’s population lives in slums without basic services and facilities like drinking water, garbage disposal or a proper drainage system.

And life goes on, and little change is made. Many nations are so unfortunate to live in a poor society, with not so many chances of getting better.

superfreek··on Hyperactive – Easy Neural Architecture Search for Deep Learning in Python
Looks very promising! I like that you can fill the search space with python objects. Is it possible to search through numpy arrays? This would be nice for feature selection.
superfreek··on Knotwork Designer
That's knot nice.
superfreek··on U.S. Judge Halts TikTok Ban
U.S. user data is mostly stored by TikTok on servers in Virginia, with backup storage in Singapore. Company officials say Chinese authorities have never attempted to gain access to Americans' information.

superfreek··on A REST View of GraphQL
Check out https://open-rpc.org/ if you haven't seen it. Brings GraphQL-like tooling to JSON-RPC.
superfreek··on Ask HN: How do I overcome mental laziness?
I read the top comment and I was like, WOW - I never thought of it that way, this is it! But then I read your reply to the top comment and again I was like: WOW - I never thought of it that way, this is it!

I'm going to read some of the other comments as well. I must confess, I'm a little bit scared now.

superfreek··on Swedish hospital suspends Covid-19 treatment with chloroquine
Thank you for your comment, very much appreciated. I want to read the article but it's not written in English.
superfreek··on AsyncAPI – OpenAPI-like specification for event-driven architectures
http://open-rpc.org/ is another OpenAPI-like specification for JSON-RPC based architectures.

JSON-RPC is simple, transport agnostic, can support any transport like Websockets, HTTP, even PostMessage.

superfreek··on Ocean plastic waste probably comes from ships, report says
One of the problems with this, is that consumers are given no choice in packing material. I just bought a new TV. The TV had the protective sticky plastic, and was wrapped in plastic. Each individual component came in a plastic bag and then all in one larger bag.

All properly disposed of by local regulations.

The fault then somehow falls onto the consumer if it ends up in the ocean?

Taxing companies based on it seems like a trade dispute as most are not US companies. We've seen how easily those are won.

superfreek··on Show HN: OpenRPC – An Interface Definition for JSON-RPC APIs
You can play around with OpenRPC in the API documentation viewer and editor here: https://playground.open-rpc.org/
superfreek··on Why We’re Switching to gRPC
gRPC is great, but my issues with it are debugging and supporting the browser as a first class citizen.

We've been working hard on OpenRPC [0]. An Interface Description for JSON-RPC akin to swagger. It's a good middle ground between the two.

superfreek··on [dead]
Looking fast through it, this seems like an amazing article. Sending it directly into my reading list for the week.
superfreek··on Ask HN: Quitting job to go freelancing
Good Luck! My advice to you would be proof read any emails you're sending out. That stuff might not matter at a 9-5 (it should). But you won't get any work if you can't type a proper email without spelling mistakes.
