This is pretty cool.

I've done a lot of Celtic knotwork designs, over the years (See my old personal site: https://cmarshall.com), but I've always done them by hand, and it can get tedious.

I have developed "libraries" of knot segments, that I put together as needed. There's a bunch of variants, for things like corners, circles and illuminations.

You might also find the work of Darrah Chavey to be interesting. His study of Sona designs is very similar, albeit in a math education context. https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Darrah_Chavey

I have a lecture about the Sona designs online, at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qlXkAB2ijN0 There are a lot of similarities between the Chokwe approach to these designs and George Bain's suggestions for constructing Celtic Knots in "Celtic Art: The Methods of Construction".

Thanks for the link! I remember Sona from taking a WCATY course of yours many years ago. Clearly I've been fascinated by it ever since.
