Accessibility is something I've always taken a liken to, sometimes maybe obsessively. But them again I interacted and went to workshops with people from places around the world that don't have high speed internet still nor the latest devices.
Look at gov.uk ... That site is an accessibility masterpiece.
Edit: this particular device is iPhone 4
It just says "can't establish a secure connection".
Larger sites don't have this problem.
Too much of anything is bad, moderation is important.
Most usage of Wordpress today are definably not blogs, but full blown websites with many functionalities not found on a blogging software.
Amazon now is in a good position to grow their books catalogue a lot. They do protect the copyright of their authors religiously. You can't publish books on Amazon with text that is already on the Internet. Neither can you publish text that is already available in another book on Amazon.
You only pay for the domain name. The hosting and traffic are free.
Blogger has been online since 1999 btw. It isn't going anywhere and I say this with confidence. My confidence comes from me personally looking for Blogger blogs and finding old ones (from 1999) that are still updated today. Google would not dare take those peoples medium, it would be an outrage. Some of them get tens of comments on each post.
There are also some huge Blogger blogs, for example like this one: https://www.surrenderat20.net/ that has thousands of comments on each post. Imagine how much traffic that blog pulls.
It is true Google has over the years stripped Blogger of some functionalities but it is still the most flexible Blogging platform. Why? Because you can add custom HTML, Javascript and CSS to each and every individual post/page or site-wide, category-wide etc (try doing that for free on wordpress dot com).
They also allow adult content if you can believe it. Their content policy is quite lax.
ChatGPT just cemented my new mentality.
People will consume content, that is a fact. But publishing new interesting things is just not worth doing for free anymore.
So now I resorted to publishing books on Amazon and building my own email list (while I do the usual freelancing).
Like it or not, the walled gardens are where it's at. You just need to make YOUR OWN walled garden and ask people for money to join and consume/enjoy it.
Also: ChatGPT can (almost) not produce anything new, it's just regurgitating/mixing things that are already online.
Close-grip pushups: To perform close-grip pushups, place your hands closer together than shoulder-width apart. This will increase the challenge on your triceps.
Wide-grip pushups: To perform wide-grip pushups, place your hands further apart than shoulder-width apart. This will increase the challenge on your chest muscles.
Elevated pushups: To perform elevated pushups, place your feet on an elevated surface such as a step or bench. This will increase the difficulty of the exercise.
Plyometric pushups: Plyometric pushups, also known as "clap" pushups, involve pushing up with enough force to lift your hands off the ground and clap them together before returning to the starting position.
One-armed pushups: As the name suggests, one-armed pushups are performed using only one arm. They are an advanced variation that requires a high level of upper body strength.
Knuckle pushups: Knuckle pushups are performed with your hands in a fist position, with your knuckles facing down. They are a more challenging variation that places more of the load on your wrists and forearms.
Diamond pushups: Diamond pushups are performed with your hands placed close together, forming a diamond shape with your index fingers and thumbs. They are a challenging variation that targets the triceps muscles.
You CAN have it all. It's ok to have a facebook, twitter and instagram account. You are just giving up too much potential exposure for not participating in social media. It's nice to get comments on your blog, but people need to find it first.
If you don't want/need/crave exposure, you could just use your blog as a personal space. One that you can look back to in 5-10 years, like a journal.
Personally I use my blog to bookmark things that I find interesting (like a personal archive). Sometimes I don't just save the link to the site I want to bookmark, I copy-paste the whole contents of the page into my site (because the site could disappear). If you are worried about copyright et all, just make your blog private.
Private blogs ARE A THING, if you didn't know.
Someone gave you the most precious gift of all: Life. It is your responsibility and duty to do the same.
Reality is though, in many situations there is not much of a choice. You gotta eat and will take whatever job is available.
I personally have had jobs where I've been going in with pleasure and others when I would have rather stayed home.
Keeping them cooked up at home for years is a lot more damaging than a cold. Like immeasurably bad idea.
They never closed down schools (except for universities) in Sweden for this reason. They also never forced masks or curfews. The main thing that they did was to limit inside capacity to 50 people max for restaurants and other avenues.
There were groups of people who would protest that the government should be enforcing masks, basically full reverse of what people were protesting in all other places around the world.
