You will see this in any field that transacts with high value goods: real-estate, enterprise software, weapons of war, investment bankers handling M&A ... the higher the cost of the product, the more the people dealing in it feel entitled to charge for their services.
Have they considered people prone to dementia just aren't able to get quality sleep, and both of these are due to some other underlying cause where fixing one doesn't really fix the other?

In Capitalism, we scorn at "price controls", and then go through a tortuous and roundabout mechanism by raising interest rates, so that the increased cost of borrowing causes corporations to cut expenditure which then pushes higher unemployment, reducing purchasing power and consequently reduces demand, all in the hopes that reduced demand would then cause prices to drop. But if the price increase wasn't triggered by higher purchasing power, then this whole rigmarole is meaningless, inflation remains "sticky"

> witnessing myself how people gorge on junk food and massively sugary starbucks drinks around me, that no, a good portion of those fat people have no hormonal problems
Interesting you brought up genetics earlier in your comment but then ignored it when discussing the "lifestyle choices" of fat people.
It is now established that genetic variations can be responsible for a 1.67 fold higher rate of obesity [1] Just having the wrong genes means more of the calories you consume end up as stored fat, with a subsequent reduction in mitochondrial thermogenesis by a factor of 5 in those cells.
Lets stop blaming "lifestyle choices" and fat people's lack of willpower for this public health crisis and find ways to control it through meaningful interventions that address the real issues underlying the phenomenon.

What if the Universe is one big fractal, repeating itself at different scales: electrons go around a nucleus, planets around a star, stars/galaxies around blackholes, and so on and so on, building larger and larger structures.

The reason I remember it is because there was an implication of influencing the subconscious somehow. The first few lines didn't seem to be very pointed or hard hitting or driving a conclusion, but were terribly important in influencing the outcome for the person reading the article.
I don't have the power to downvote but its comments like these that are used by fascists [1][2][3] the world over, sometimes for mass murder [4] and genocide [5] so please be careful how you wield it
