seqastian··on How to use FIDO2 USB keys with SSH
Safari 14 should change that though.

seqastian··on Encouraging a culture of written communication
A wiki is only as good as the big picture and structure of the people feeding it. Maybe you could use the logs of a chat to feed into a wiki. Just having everyone edit away with that ever is on their plate today, sure sounds like a wiki I don't want to use.
seqastian··on Pi-hole 5.0
Installing PiHole is copy pasting a shell script. Raspi is introducing a lot of new users to the linux community.
seqastian··on The Virus Can Be Stopped, but Only with Harsh Steps, Experts Say
Have you seen their lockdown? their lockdown laughs at Europes lockdown.
seqastian··on Italy is extending its coronavirus quarantine measures to the entire country
How do you start taking measures if one side does't think there is a problem?
seqastian··on Climate Change Is Killing Alpine Skiing as We Know It
The cultural loss of not building a space station on every hill ..
seqastian··on Germany looks to step up coal exit timetable
Not being able to explain it to the general public like they are three years old is one of the mayor flaws of nuclear.
seqastian··on Still Why No HTTPS?
> The biggest problem with forcing everything HTTPS No it isn't. Https not being 100% bulletproof is unrelated to using it everywhere. And it's lightyears away from its biggest problem.
seqastian··on U.S. carried out secret cyber strike on Iran after Saudi oil attack: officials
And it was kept secret until now? So I guess they haven't told trump about it?
seqastian··on Apple is not your friend
google 2fa is the same as apples for the most part.
seqastian··on Toyota is trying to put solar panels on a Prius to charge battery during the day
They talk about Solar Range up to 34 km/day. Just 10km a day extra and going 50 every day that extends your range(250km) by another day. Maybe for people who don't go very far and not every day it can even work out to be mostly self sufficient? Im glad someone is trying to make it work and we will see how it works out in the long run.
seqastian··on GoAccess – Visual Web Log Analyzer
Since Facebook doesn't show you which post the users came from, it's mostly useless these days anyways.
seqastian··on Unikernels: The Next Stage of Linux's Dominance [pdf]
change? hate it.
seqastian··on GDPR Enforcement Tracker: List of GDPR fines
Are banks even allowed to wipe your whole account record? They probably have to keep most of it for tax collectors.
seqastian··on Self-Driving Cars Have a Problem: Safer Human-Driven Ones
human vs human road interaction is mostly based on trust, and it usually works out because most humans are sane and healthy while driving.

the same thing can not work with machines cause they are bad at detecting when humans are not all right and humans are bad at trusting machines.

as soon as we just accept that the save way to operate in close proximity of others, is to do it at way slower speeds. we will have very save roads with humans and robots behind the wheel.

seqastian··on How the Apple Store Lost Its Luster
Yea they persuade you to buy more from them with bad service. Flawless logic right there.
seqastian··on Apple announces Apple Card credit card
Apple owns the rights to apple content. As Netflix does to most of their original content. So their original stuff will most likely launch international. What Europe won't get is all the channels cause those might have different plans for different markets. Disney already talked about an international launch of Hulu and most of the HBO and Showtime stuff is on Sky in some European markets which has TV app integration already.

So no we won't have the exactly same stuff but most of it will end up there one way or another (except Netflix)

seqastian··on Stop Brexit: 700k sign UK petition to stay in EU
the 2nd one would be about which deal. not the same thing.
seqastian··on Slack enables customers to control their encryption keys in enterprise version
and you can still intercept all the SSL if you just roll out your own certs to all the workstations and the firewall opens everything..
seqastian··on Addressing Spotify’s Claims
its about payment not app store lock in. there is nothing wrong with paying by browser and not via the appstore besides convenience. your car does come with a 'buy new tires' button but you can still go to the store and pay with cash.
seqastian··on Overwatch Randomized Trial on Gender
Gamers just default to male.
seqastian··on Why does APT not use HTTPS?
Cause pushing the barrier of how easy it is to detect is a bad thing.
seqastian··on Netflix’s biggest competition isn’t sleep, it’s YouTube
Calling Netflix content weak just shows how removed from what content gets released and people watch every day right now. Hint: it's mostly Netflix.
seqastian··on IBM acquires Red Hat
redhat must also have seen that their ability to grow will rely on a handful of clouds that may or mayn't continue to enable them on their platforms.

.. they probably though the price right now is better than what they would get in 5 years.

seqastian··on U.S. states reconsider confidential deals in workplace harassment
how much would you be willing to pay for this service?
seqastian··on Companies Shouldn’t Be Accountable Only to Shareholders
Exportweltmeister none the less.
seqastian··on GE Engineer Linked to China Stole Power Plant Technology, FBI Says
They don't. What you hear (listen to) is about the US. Guess what makes news in Germany.
seqastian··on The Hidden Cost of Touchscreens
Only if you expect to use the same car for inner cities, highways, short and long distance. As long as we are hauling a literal metric ton of steel to move 100 kilos of flesh and bones not much will change.
seqastian··on The Hidden Cost of Touchscreens
Biggest reason why i wouldn't get a Tesla. All i want is a Golf cart with doors and a plug for my phone really. Keep the 15" screen that sucks my battery dry.
seqastian··on Zuckerberg didn’t make any friends in Europe today
The rise of populism in Europe maybe?
