One of the things I explained that happened is that as Amazon got closer via more warehouses the shipping actually went to crap. I also explained how their Amazon shipping vans are sub par even to USPS.
I asked for a basic prime teir free shipping only for $79/yr and asked for shipping options to be available ~ I'd pay +$2-3 to choose fedex over ups for example...
If anything they gave me a chance to vent. I also followed up in email sharing how products are being hijacked for reviews and how there are facebook groups for fake review gathering..
it's shouldn't hurt to use their numbers to guide your decision it is no guarantee though.
Finally I told her 'I feel like that check your holding is already mine' - aka your on the verge of theft..
I immediately spent the next month negotiating the bonus into the base pay. Took a few years to regain trust and now I'm at a glass ceiling (which I won't complain about but feel fortunate about)
The contract was so broad there was no way it was valid. The kicker was she was withholding my standard'ish larg'ish bonus. I just walked and finally she came around - took years for us to mend our relationship.
Only place trains win are very specific regions and for cargo
Turns out I couldn't find any destination where trains beat driving or flying in the metrics of time or cost even.
I do get that trains work in some regions in the US ~ but we should define those regions or what makes a region good for rail and focus there. Amtrak to me is one of the largest scams the government does - it's a constant money losing operation. It takes in so much money - and loses money on every thing it sells from the tickets to the drinks and food.
Then they go on to not include any ideas of price.
When companies can't give me a price range or idea I always have a feeling that their pricing model is to guess my profits and then guess how much they can take and still gain my business. Usually you can identify these types of propositions when the company tells you they're your 'partner' and you're not just a customer - but a partner.
Just tell me up to $x in sales it's $y per transaction and $y can have different prices for different features... I don't want a 2 hour call or screen cast to find out it's out of budget. This sales funnel tactic is no more moral than the long form copy sales website.. where they get people to spend 2 hours reading something - then at the end hit them for some amazing offer - where the user feels they've already invested 2 hours 'learning how to x' why not spend $95 and some reaaccuring fee for ever... dark pattern.
Their execution on doing their own content has been great. However the long term value of these movies / shows still has to prove out in profits at some point.
