As in, Pascal was all but dead (tha Java hype was happening with full force) and even the Delphi guys put their best efforts into making Delphi a C++ dialect, but this RAD IDE would resurect Pascal.
Lots of powerchords in pop too. "powerchord", to me at least, implies that there is a distortion effect somewhere in the signal chain. Powerchords on their own sounds really weak.
One day something goes wrong with his brain and he goes on a murder spree.
Fritz goes to prison, his house is sold off to pay the victims families and his children are sent to separate orphanages.
Decades later one kid, Hans, have made it despite being reminded of his fathers crimes every day. His orphanage helped him with a good education and a very generous loan so he could start his own factory.
The other kid, Helmut, got a shit education and no loan and is hungry every day. Almost every month he has to beg Hans for money to pay the rent.
What a great outcome for the Schmidt family.
Germany has tried the "pure" route once before, it did not end well
Edit: I was wrong about the horses, there is a overlap.

If you where in a position to derail a release twice, someone (not you) is not doing their job.
You mentioned working on new features by yourself. That's fucked up. Junior devs can work on new things, sure but they need to have a senior guide. And the resposibility of the feature should be on the *senior* dev.
In my opinion the best way to use a junior dev if resources to hold their hand are missing is to have them work on fixing bugs and support tickets for a while. This will give them a solid understanding of the code base and most external dependencies. Working on new features after that is way easier.
Anyway, "other adults" lie all the time. Every employer I ever had has lied one time or another. This is important information. Bringing kids up into some fairies and unicorn fantasy where everything is unthinkingly accepted, thats disrespecting children
This is how they learn to actually pay attention to where they are.
They now try to indipendently verify everything they hear.
A picture says a thousand words, sure, but precicely what those words are turns out to be important. We use text for programming because it allows us to express ourselves unambigously.
I sure would like to see more visual representations of text programs though, this seems like the best of both worlds to me.
