The most important thing about staying awake is that a more complete neurological exam can be performed. There's always ways to wake someone up, but the unfortunate part is that any treatment may alter the results of neuro tests
Is this a language learning app or a spaced repetition studying app? I'd be interested in something with a smoother UI thank Anki, but that seems to be the established app for med school

Not sure if I'm missing some part of the concept here, but after logging in all I see is "Start Tutorial", which goes through some "loading" things, then back to the same page. No other options for any other way to navigate...

Well, no shit. But I'm saying I constructed an equilateral triangle but the game wasn't recognizing it. After reloading the page a few times it finally started giving feedback, like thickening the line when moving over it (which wasn't happening before), letting me actually place the dot on the intersection between the two circles
I'm not sure about you guys, but I'm not getting any feedback whatsoever. I've measured it with all the tools I can find, but I'm not getting any "Well done" or any link to the next level. Any thoughts?
I'd strongly recommend putting some description of what this actually is. I feel like I should know within the first minute or so of being on a site what exactly the site does, and I can't tell that by your website.
I find your comment fascinating purely because it's a concept that I've never been able to understand. While I can begin to understand what you're saying about the loss he inflicted on his wife and family, the life he could have saved far outweighs that loss; as I said, I couldn't live my life any other way. I often try to wrap my head around the concept of putting myself and my family before my fellow man, but it's one that just doesn't come to me easily.
I feel like there's something major I'm missing here. Is this satire or a metaphor? Or is this literally an article talking about how you are physiologically capable of eating and digesting (mostly) an entire apple? Personally, I don't like the taste (well, more the texture) of the apple core, so I stay away from it. But... what? The absurdity of this article just leaves me confused... like I said, I think I'm missing something.
I thought this article was going to be somewhat insightful as to another option for me, as, like many others, I have quite a bit of student loans. Including interest, I owe about $250k (BS and MS). I don't regret going to the school I went to - the experience and what I went through there was life changing for me; however, it does put a severe stranglehold on what I am actually able to do in life right now. I am basically forced to work for others at a decent salary (which I am certainly very fortunate and thankful I'm in the software engineering field) instead of being able to completely set off on my own.
Indeed - there seems to only be two very polar groups in this discussion. Those that are adamant guns are a good thing, and those that are adamant that guns are a bad thing. I'm somewhere in the middle - I'd love to know which is really the right answer - does having a gun really make violent crime less likely? Does everyone carrying a gun make people more likely and more quickly to resort to violence to solve problems?
At my last job we had a huge open-office floor plan. I was so uncomfortable in that situation I ended up in at a gastroenterologist multiple times before realizing I needed to change jobs. Haven't had a single GI issue since I left.
One more reason why guns laws won't do anything without more information on what exactly they hope to achieve by passing them.
I personally enjoy living in a city that bans knives and guns. I find it comforting to know that it's not likely for someone I pass to have a gun. I also can't go a single day without passing a dozen cops. However, there is plenty of data telling us there isn't enough data to make arguments one way or another about gun laws - no consistent, comprehensive studies exist that clearly point to legalizing or banning guns that will make an impact in either direction. I believe in funding studies that can give us an answer to that very problem.
+1. Exact same situation here - started taking melatonin on the advice of my doctor, and it completely changed my morning routine (so long as I actually take it and go to bed about 7-8 hours before I wake up - it's not magic, and doesn't let me go to bed at 1am and wake up at 5am, but does let me go to bed at 10pm and wake up at 5am).

Maybe I come from a different musical background as the authors of this, but none of this make any sense to me.
"Long notes are longer; sharps point up and flats down."
- Having notes take up more space is about the worst possible thing in the world for me; as a pit musician, the last thing I need is more wasted space on a page, giving me more page turns to deal with while I'm changing instruments and key signatures.
"...rhythms have the same spacing" - I don't know what this means. Rhythms don't have spacing. The spaces between the notes has nothing to do with the music that's played.
Then there's the fact that all current musicians would have to re-learn how to read music. Perhaps someone can tell me what's drastically broken about the current system? I'm not saying it's perfect - I don't believe any system is perfect. But it's worked pretty well for the last few hundred years.
I love Livemocha - the online community with feedback from native speakers, and the breadth of languages offered are phenomenal. It's the only service I've found that offers Hungarian; Rosetta Stone doesn't have it, so I certainly hope Livemocha doesn't get shut down or otherwise degraded.

That's actually why I love him though; don't get me wrong, I don't always agree with him. But I can count on him to always do what he wants (in the sense that he said he'll do X if he's (re-)elected, and he does), and do what he says he will. I can trust him to not stick by party guidelines, and not be forced into doing or saying something because it's politically correct. I find his brutal honesty refreshing, even if I don't agree with what he's saying or doing.
For me, first, because it's cheaper, and two, because I won't be near people. I certainly enjoy the convenience of living in a city and being in an apartment, but I strongly dislike having so many people near me. I look forward to buying 5 or 10 acres and building a nice 2000sqft home where I can enjoy the outdoors and the lack of people.
