Those are also very popular in Taiwan. They are essentially the pickup trucks equivalent. The nickname for these cars is “Make A Fortune Car” (or make money car).

This is a hidden gem for me. Thank you for sharing the article.

The thing is BMI is intended to be a population level measurement and never meant for single individuals — the variations are just too much for it to be useful when applied to the general population individually.

> their family lawyer arguing that they shouldn't have this incident on their student record because it occurred outside of school

I think the alternatives should be criminal record or student record.

One thing I found interesting is seeing Asian faces in groups supporting race conscious college admission policies that goes directly against their interest and stereotypes Asians as book nerds lacking personality and leadership qualities. Often they are 3rd or later generation immigrants whose parents and grandparents fought discrimination and worked excessively hard to get them where they are today—comfy middle/middle-upper class via emphasis on education as the stepping stone to prosperity. Now they are working to make it more difficult for less well off Asians to attain better lives.

There are really 2 tiers of semiconductor manufacturing, and for the advanced nodes Taiwans TSMC is in the lead with Samsung close behind, and Intel is lagging. The less advanced (aka older, larger) nodes manufacturing capability are more spread out.

I think the interests would be much better aligned if the lawyers are required to accept the same “payment” as the consumers. Coffee and donuts? Sure, lawyers gets the equivalent of coffee and donuts as their share in the lawsuit.

Have anyone used Alice layout for programming?

Fully refundable tickets are awesome. My old company had a contract where all international business travels to customer sites must purchase fully refundable business class tickets. I remember someone had to cancel their travel just before boarding, and the airline refunded everything no questions asked.

I tried the 32” 4K, Samsung odyssey 49” ultrawide, 43” 4K tv, and settled on my current Dell 40” 5k2k ultrawide.

For me, the 32” is not wide enough (I use a Mac) and the 43” 4K tv is too tall (neck strain). The Samsung 49” is too wide and not enough vertical space. The Dell 40” is great—-it as tall as a 32” 4K but has 50% more horizontal space. Combined with Rectangle I can split it into 3x2 or 4x2 or 1/4,1/2,1/4 easily. It’s pricy but imo it’s worth it.

Got it. :)

Agreed.

@dang Could you change the Chinese text to 战狼外交?

I got an email from them and the plan forward is to charge annual subscription for cloud services at $40/year or $70 for 2 years.

It’s anecdotal + data

Well, if the loan is still held/backed by the Federal government, then the taxpayers are still on the hook…

I’ve always wondered that for hash table we always check that the key matches the target because of hash collision. Should the same be done here? For image hash matches, either run though an image similarity check or, if original image is not available (it’s so bad it can’t be stored), a secondary hash used to double check?

Totally agree with you. I think they should get into simple banking too. Even just a no fee simple savings account with debit cards would do wonders for the unbanked.

From what I’ve heard one of the biggest reason is students and parents who don’t care about education at all, who would actively disrupt others from learning and the teacher from teaching.

Looks like there is a trace that needs to be cut. The chip probably detects continuity of the trace and reports it’s private key if detected open.

I wonder how the code would look like if we compile the resulting BF code back to Go with the posted compiler.

Yup, it is to ensure daily engagement. Many other games have similar check-in based rewards, free or purchase-able.

Don’t think this will ever fly. According to [^0] Qualcomm has 38% of the Mobile AP (application processor) market including apple, which is mostly if not all ARM. Exclude apple (they don’t sell chips), and it is 50%.

:) I believe it’s usually used in similar context as rtfm—-to request that the poster read the article being discussed before commenting.

Everyone’s being so diplomatic :) … it’s The Fxxxing Article…

Wouldn’t that be a declaration of war on China with the one China policy?

I believe in most cases the structure value does go down (or at most stay constant), it is the value of the land that is going up.

There’s also a stacked sensor version.

Can the fn key be remapped to alt/opt? I like the layout but I use the right opt key more than the fn key.

Smoke is much better than snowstorm or 10F or lower.

The super key.
