But why not achieve that filtering in app? After all I'm not interested in Android development or Cocoa questions but they still appear in the feed - I simply learn to ignore them or add filters. Could this not support these questions as well?
Clearly the question and answer was useful to someone, code related, interesting to others (upvotes), so excluding it only serves to discourage great contributors, with the proposed solution being division of the audience.
Registering a company here in Australia costs enough that you usually need some traction first (it tended to be at least $1k in government fees, and ballpark $3k if you used an accountant, although I see now there are services for ~$500).
I'm not sure low-carb is necessarily effective for people with serious insulin dysregulation. I'm pretty sure for Type 1 in particular, avoiding carbs is insufficient (you also require insulin injections). Personal bias: Dad has diabetes, caused by pancreatitis, and although minimising carbs led to some weight loss (not that he is/was overweight), it has no impact on his blood sugar.
That's an interesting thought and cheers for the link. I guess I tend to think of colours as only within the visual spectrum, and my understanding was that the chemical reactions were from UV and above, but I can see now that's kind of arbitrary thinking.
I wouldn't say there's a whole lot of idea in this ("bring Stripe to Australia please" is not new) but I'm hoping the implementation and pricing are both great.
Yeah likewise. I almost never have a sugary drink (maybe a softdrink can once every 3 months) and it's made zero difference to weight. Stress on the other hand is highly correlated personally with weight (I've lost ~10kg in 3 months every time I've quit a job).
(OFF-TOPIC) - Why are so many jobs downvoted here? Are people downvoting other listings to make their own listings higher ranked? Are there some controversies surrounding the downvoted companies I'm unaware of? (if so please post a link below the job asking for the poster to give feedback on the issue)
It's using the same video bandwidth behind the scenes (which is why both are lagging). I'm not sure if that means it's a repost by the author on separate sites, or whether someone is leeching bandwidth for traffic here.
Photoshop generates HTML/CSS, but I would imagine it's even worse than Dreamweaver's generated code. It sounds like you're tidying up the generated markup anyway - after a few runs I imagine you'd be pretty close to giving it a go from scratch?
Dreamweaver is an industry standard? I don't know of anyone working web dev using dreamweaver (I've always thought of it as a teaching/hobbyist tool akin to, though obviously better than, FrontPage).
Outlook has conversation view as well, and Microsoft Lync (formerly Office Communicator) integrates the rest of the feature set (yes you're vendor-locked, but you are with GMail too). In my opinion GMail executes better on most of these features, but they're not the only ones to offer them.
It actually sounds relatively low risk ("What are you doing!? Moving the bridge like this here paperwork says. We never approved that! Oh must have been a mixup..")
The Immediate window is cool, but you can write whole applications in LINQPad scripts if you want which I don't think you can do in the Immediate window (i.e. can you define classes in the Immediate window?). I find I often use LINQPad to mockup and run a bit of code that I would have traditionally made a full command line project for.
Interesting that it fails to mention LINQPad. I'm always surprised to find a .NET dev who doesn't use this on a daily basis (for the REPL rather than any LINQ abilities).
Well (perhaps I misread) but it seemed that you were implying that he is getting more money than his value is worth here, and that they should instead form their own collective. My counter was that the cleaners don't need to work for this guy, they choose to, and therefore they have by definition decided that his value proposition is worthwhile.
You have been very lucky to get reasonable officers. Most I have talked to (or seen in media / documentaries) have been trained to escalate with force if you are not submissive - get out of your car leads to "GET BACK IN THE CAR NOW HANDS ON THE WHEEL", answering back ("Why? I'm doing nothing wrong") leads to verbal escalation/shouting, shouting yourself leads to handcuffs, resistance (even passive) to physical force or (according to media accounts) tasering. Granted my sample size is potentially biased, but I thought this was the norm. On the other hand, when I've been relaxed, calm, and collected while remaining in the car I've had no issues and otherwise pleasant conversations with officers.
Absolute worst idea. This counts as an act of escalation (it counts as a threat to police safety) and is likely to end up with a definite ticket and potentially a handcuffed trip to the station if you don't get back in your car fast when ordered.
Particularly if you're physically imposing you run the risk of a panicked officer pulling their weapon..
