In Splatoon you can "post" [1] which displays this image above your character in the lobby and the main hub of the game. Most of the time people will draw using the in-game interface and the touch screen/buttons on the switch, other times people use a well known exploit to recreate images from your computer in the game using a specific type of controller [2].
After the post is created, it typically gets published to some social media account you have linked to your Nintendo account.
These posts are usually jokes, memes, or some silly throwaway pop culture line or reference but more often than not you see individuals promoting their own discord servers, twitter accounts, twitch accounts, and other social media platforms. Unfortunately you also get a few individuals who will post about LGBT related stuff, often with a sexual angle to it. No issues posting that on Twitter but I feel it's inappropriate for what is essentially a game for children.
The good news is you can report these posts to Nintendo, the bad news is I have no idea if they are moderated or not.

No and it's not really close, especially for first person shooters. That few milliseconds delay makes a HUGE difference in the feel of the game and ultimately how well you perform.
This is an important point. My household uses very little power and when we eventually switched out our old plasma TV after a decade or so of use, our power bill halved. It's hard to pin it all on the TV because this is hardly a scientific experiment but that was the only notable change during that period.
I quite like the GT games and haven't bought it simply because it's $120+ in Australia. When it comes down in price, I'll check it out.
In terms of old content being lost, the only part I'm actually quite annoyed at is the sunsetting of old weapons. The Forsaken campaign and all that stuff, I don't care about as much. To me the part that stings is that if I worked hard to get The Recluse, it should still be useable to this day.
Not saying Ive hadn't had some great designs in his time at Apple but saying the new designs aren't as pretty is highly debatable. From what I can tell, I don't think many people found the touchbar to be particularly "pretty".
Seen this a lot, and I'm in the same boat. I dislike this commodified view of life and free time, where every thing you do must result in a sort of real-life stat increase, like you would see in a video game (Persona 5 anyone?).
I think ultimately this way of thinking is extremely naive. It implies there is no underlying themes or philosophy in music or fiction whereas listening to a podcast will cause you to learn something new. The subtle messaging a good album possesses can be far more profound than listening to a guy talk about data science for an hour each day. Listening to a good album or reading fiction can give you new ways to frame problems or reconsider old approaches in your work.
We need more polymaths.
>there are no good guys and bad guys
I don't think that's what he is implying. He is leaving it up to our interpretation but the absence of a position does not mean he is saying that there are no good or bad guys. From what I gathered, he's not saying anything at all.
Big fan of his work regardless.

I don't believe this is a way of validating the security of a blockchain. Consider the turkey problem as stated in "THE BLACK SWAN" by Nassim Nicholas Taleb: "A Turkey is fed for 1000 days by a butcher. Every day confirms to the turkey (and the turkey's economics department, and its risk management department and its analytics department ...) that in fact the butcher loves turkeys. Every day brings more confidence to the statement. Until one day the Turkey is ripe for Thanks Giving".
You may very well be correct but I don't think length of time without a fatal error is a valid metric.
For me personally, I am in the Bitcoin proof-of-stake camp however I would be lying if I didn't say I also have a position in Ethereum.
Thought the exact same thing. I am a huge fan of the Xbox designs. The white one specifically reminds me of an upright Dieter Rams designed Braun turntable [1].
...and as I finish typing the section above I find this [2]. Looks like someone else already had the idea.

I think the writing is on the wall.
