And if weather permits, home -> beach -> home (weekends).

22/hour in Sydney? Half of the salary will go to rent and bills.
If you have time look at Scala (Scalatra/Play Framework) or Clojure (Ring). You can reduce the size of your codebase dramatically.
Sounds like an interesting game. Too bad I can't see any of the images.
It is hard to tell where the lines lead, so I need to rotate the globe. Also for European nations, it is very messy because some of the countries are tiny and all trade with each other. There is also no way to see arms trade over time, which would have been quite useful since the data has a time-series.
Very pretty looking 3D graphic though.

Noflo makes code easier to maintain and collaborate on by providing a visual map of how code is designed. The benefits of which should be plainly apparent if you have ever been tasked with maintaining >10,000 of lines of code.
I don't sense a very strong emphasis on runtime profiling from the video or the description, but if this were a core feature then it would certainly add value to the product.
But I do agree on the point that designers would certainly gag when seeing this... A developer would need to go though the deign and insert all the hooks. This step is unavoidable with any web application framework.
That being said, I think a designer would puke if they were required to write React components.
+1 for AngularJS
My suggesting is before throwing money at marketing, get some feedback from some local business managers on your product page. Cut it down to something that takes 1 min to get the gist of. Put more images/icons to help explain or highlight certain points.
I see Instagram as a defensive acquisition -- they don't want to lose market share to a competitor. It took Instagram only two years to reach 100 million users.
