Financial firms has been making tons of money during decades of increasing wealth inequality. Sure, let's talk about these congressional acts, but not going to put a lot of blame on relatively small programs that required these firms to throw back some scraps.
Are we really to believe criminal is going to unpackage and give out to unsuspecting children, just to get them hooked on the marijuanas? Instead of selling them?
yikes!
the system has had material downtime 7 times in the last year. how is that OK?
This common problem is what led to rise of the MSSPs https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Managed_security_service
In that PR they changed the render loop rather than implement the "not worth it" suggested solution. At no point was it marked as WONTFIX.
If Mars One wasn't just a short-term money grab, they wouldn't be too concerned with collecting 75% of interview fees. That is so bush league that to imagine your whole life is going to be shaped by this organization is pretty delusional.
Trader Joe's not wanting to open up in Canada doesn't validate anything about what he's doing. Perhaps TD has a longer-term strategy, that doesn't involve anyone who can live near the Canadian border selling their stuff at a marked-up price.
We're not talking about importing fruits and vegetables to save money for people at "the Safeway across the street," which the author didn't bother to justify. How anyone would go to this length to sell chocolate-covered almonds, or peppermint cookies, and pretend that selling more snacks is just doing everyone a political/ethical justice is beyond me.
Dude, you're doing it for the money. And if a lawyer's quote got you to keep going in a lawsuit, you're definitely doing it for the money.
Sorry, this entire article is parroting a very well-constructed (but seemingly BS) storyline. "he still goes to the border", "waits in a white unmarked van", "he envies cabbies salaries", etc.
His ultimate goal is to bring Trader Joe's to Canada? Just doing it to advertise for the Trader Joe's label?
Sorry man, you found the grey area you wanted to (self-admittedly within a few minutes) and then kept going.
For example, I just went into Incognito on another machine out of curiosity. I unclicked 'I am 13 or older' and then clicked on random grayed-out whitespace, and it showed the full article. Unless they kept my home IP from previous requests, but at that point, why bother with the age gate? Lawyers?
Not sure how anyone can defend this deceptive UX bullshit.
Then what we have is Uber/Lyft/whatever trying to avoid any regulation, while everyone else with the same thing are actually doing it. So disruptive!
But hey, you can get it for $99 right now instead of $199 later!
Catching up to what? A 24 year old kernel with no userbase and uses IRC logs as the majority of documentation? Is Hurd useful as anything other than a research project? I would be interested to see what people here who have used Hurd have to say.
I did CF for a while but stopped. After a few friends got hurt and another friend told me straight out "this is stupid", I realized how halfass thrown-together the workouts are. That "100 pullups" video recently really put it into perspective.
In the rush to be clever, we got a really snarky post from someone who has no knowledge of the parent comment's context.
Not everyone has a great relationship with their parents, that doesn't make it the child's fault like super-counselor above likes to think.
