Memory is a fascinating thing.
Possibly an alternative could be to offer a bounty on a top you use and if needs x item patched. Instead of getting an interval to do it they could offer it to candidates. This would mean these external patches that often distract internal teams in big companies but are necessary could be turned into hiring opportunities. This wouldn’t totally resolve the problem you pointed out, but perhaps it would give more companies the chance to leverage that option. No?
techbros? Rich tech? Bailing out their own sector?
Mainstream media is just disgusting how badly they do their job.
Who do they think those VCs fund? Rich tech barons? No, not even close, but we all know that and it’s just disgusting to see this article here with its totally dishonest take on the SVB situation.
Not complaining just would appreciate some of your thoughts on what are good options to consider to make that leap.
Lacking in even a basic understanding of the world that they can only name Putin. So so many options!! American culture now is so insular that they can only tear themselves down for the smallest infraction.
The problem I think other people forget is that we don’t actually need to end fossil fuels we just need to substantially reduce the amount we burn. So if vehicles were 90% more efficient then that’s basically all we need in that sector anyway.
Great comment Bruce! I’m glad I wasn’t the only one thinking like you.
It's been very useful for me.
1. What is 'recent' messages? That's a big grey area there. They should specify or it's ripe for abuse.
2. If someone suddenly gets 10 reports of abuse then that's a red flag. I would argue that this would require further investigation and by investigation I mean forcing a disclosure such as 1-1 messages.
I truly love this community and I've been called out, voted down, voted up, etc. It's always with authenticity and with articulate responses.
Honestly this kind of comment feels like clickbait, which is truly frowned up within this community and will definitely mark you.
That's at least why I come here. I hope that's a motivator until the lights go out one day. Without a doubt the most consistently intelligent conversations happen here.
I could have a System 76 machine with latest xyz hacker proof Linux distro and I'd still assume all was heard and listened to through that device. Just makes no sense to trust any mass production device.
What more do you know about this strategy? Can you introduce me to anyone who has done this?
My only worry is the Math course. Not having gone to University or high school in 20 years I'm fearful. The other courses have been easy so far though, but like you I'm working on the field, so it's not so new to me.
So I don't really care about the details. I learn more, great, but otherwise I'm happy because I just want to be able to apply to get into Europe or Asia as a software developer in the future and not worry about whether I have enough points, etc to pass the rigor.
All of that being said, the first course was a gong show with lots of academic violations, but like all things in life it's what you put into it and I plan on graduating with Honors, so even if it's a weak degree I'll still be able to respect my work and effort.
State security is important, but corporate security is critical as a first line of defense, because without those big successful companies and their contributions in taxes, R&D and tech support the state loses flexibility and top talent. Then a state will lose ground in preservation of their independence.
