I mean the whole ebs complaint is invalid you are complaining about a san disk vs local disk. If you want high speed local storage use a d instance with nvme storage.
Its called economies of scale. When they server 200000 ai subscriptions they dont expect everyone to use the max. They expect some will use more and some will use less and at the end of the day it will even out. Thats how every service works that is for the masses. As soon as you want a guaranteed 1000 tokens you should pay for that.
I don't understand why any solo dev would use aws. Its awfully priced and 99% of people can just use a vps and that should be enough. By the time you blow up and need cloud scale you can afford it.
I used to work one of the top 1000 visited websites, and we have massive bot issues where 60% of our traffic was bots and had to implement solutions similar to cloudflare to reduce the bots. Also, with the raise of ai, it's become even more important since a lot of ai data scraping companies do not respect robots.
Do you really want to implement http, ssl and tls; all by your self, what about security hash algorithms? Re inventing the wheel means you also get to go through all the bugs and s purity issue that these open source libraries went through. This is a type of opinion I would expect some one with no understanding about security saying.
You do know a router requires a public IP to even work you cannot not have a public IP. Either the people who rite those rules have no idea about computers or you miss read something.
Lol my company is paying a fortune to get off oracle. Anyone that does not need the million features that come with a oracle will eventually move off it. It's way too expensive to use in smaller environments or non mainframe environment's. Oracle has some of the worst pricing and sales techniques.
Once the news agencies find out you are siphoning their stories they will contact you to set up contracts I would imagine that you are getting them for free for now. That is a big cost which is why in your space bloomberg and Refinitiv charge a premium for this kind of feature and they pay their sources based on royalties.
Highly recommend a managed service like datadog or New Relic. Or if you in the cloud like AWS you can use cloud watch. Don't use your application db to store operational data you should seperate them out.
Anyone doing serious traffic with AWS will use cloud front and then you get additional savings on-top of that and you can negotiate a better rate then provided depending on usage so some people pay way less then the advertised price.
What's the alternative if most of tor traffic is password attempts and bad actors how do you protect yourself from tors bad actors without effecting all of tors users. I work at a company that runs a large website top 1000 websites in the world, and we don't even have to block tor exit nodes since they trigger our bot and snap blocking rules on our firewall, how do we let valid for users through without letting all the malicious actors?
Taking north Korea as an example is not a good idea. Also they still import allot through backallies. I don't see anything good from north Koreas way of doing things unless we want to go back 200 years
Not really If you running bare metal and have a San you can easily change what it is pointing to. Also most bare metal servers have redundancy and disks can be changed with 0 down time.
At that point you might as well go with vps. Lightsale is way more expensive and the underlying architecture is way more unstable I have a 1% failure rate for my fleet of instances. Ever two weeks I have a instance is not responding and needs to be rebooted alert from aws.
