Trading is a real job and the market is very inefficient. If you're too lazy to study it, you say things like what the GDC7 posted. It's pretty easy to predict Microsoft stock four months from now (it will probably be higher, but there's a small chance it will be lower), certainly easier than "the fate of the Universe trillions of years from now."
At the end of the day, trading is learning how to manage risk. What is Microsoft doing, how much is it likely to make, and will the macro environment support or suppress their strategy. Then you put on a trade to take advantage of this view. You may sometimes be wrong, but the idea is that over all of your decisions, you'll mostly be right and make more money than you lose.
Join a fraternity or sorority and go to fraternity parties. It's really easy to meet people that way. Frats are by definition social groups, so they'll introduce you to a lot of people on campus.
This is kind of weird, but go to office hours for the classes you really like. It's usually the same few people going to office hours and they really care about the topic, so if you do too, you could become good friends.
Join a lab to do research. You'll meet a lot of the older professors and graduate students that way. It's a different set of people than your classmates.
EDIT: So sorry – I was wrong about the word – it's being pronounced correctly!
Production is higher than ever before. Anyone can write any article that they wish. The only public data available right now from the EIA is a little lagged, but keep an eye on the September number when it is available.

You can unlock your phone in the dark. It doesn't rely on visible light, as it shines its own infrared light on you. You were probably holding your phone too close to your face.
