To your knowledge are there any brands known for being DIY friendly on current models (read being able to provide/sell offline service manuals)?

> Are you suggesting they're a reasonable justification for a $14K annual public subsidy per household (TFA)?
Yes, i would take those numbers with a grain of salt but yes. If you remove roads and cars neither the goods nor people you hire will get to you.
At that point you are left with just leaving for somewhere else and starting the whole 'defund public infrastructure we rely on' campaign all over again - it's shortsighted at best and borderline malicious.
Also, number of kids and population count of your town please.
Thank you.
So metropolitan area. Do you think its by choice or necessity? The way i see it no one would take their sick kid to the doctors by subway/bike if they had a access to a car.
> will provoke such rage as you wouldn't believe from otherwise seemingly sane people.
That's human, we all participate in recreational outrage when it suits us be it drivers or those who oppose them. Sorry to hear about that crossing and hope your kids will be fine.
How many kids do you have?
The way i see it all arguments for reducing reliance on cars comes from people in metropolitan areas enjoying single life and not planning for a family.
Giving the way my generation is with money the hostility most likely comes not from ideological reasons but simply because we are unable to afford them altogether thus it's being masked as some honorable cause instead of petty spite.
Good, ignorance should not be rewarded. Start by googling COMETA report, Rendlesham, Ariel or the flavour of the month - Varginha.
General public once again will realize just how unimaginative and unfunny political commentators actually are without scripts and how much of the insight is actually meticulously crafted.
Its 2008 all over again, and its a good thing.
The only reason Edge or whatever Microsoft is pushing these days didn't trigger the issue is because their browser didn't make the API call on every new window event and not because of some sinister plan to increase their market share.
Back in the day trying to do things as silently as possible was reserved for malware.
In this case, one would suspect, they got either regular deal without gag order or a better one with one.
Now they don't want to follow on their part of the deal.
You can't have your cake and eat it too.
Good, and the business should compensate the waiters like in rest of the developed world.
Once people stop tipping waiters will quit and businesses will be force to either pay them like regular staff or move to self service.
I get why they want to stay anonymous but that website is no different from any other malware site - no source, no authors just some affiliate links. Putting your google credentials in an app like that is not something people should be comfortable with.
How layouts like this reach the light of day totally escapes me.
And no one in marketing said anything about naming your platform and curency after units of mass. How come no one raised the SEO issue?
I'm the technical guy on the other side of the table. We don't call people out of politeness - just smirk and enjoy the ride. After the meeting we talk freely to people in charge and destroy all your hopes of sale.
How true is this actually? Personal anecdote is an I5-2500K overclocked to 4.6ghz with budget aftermarket cooler (its at 4.6ghz constantly regardless of load). It's been running 24/7 in my desktop since 2011.
When will it fail? I see these disclaimers all the time and they sound logical, but does anyone have some numbers on these fail rates under these 'prolonged extreme loads'?
