For example, I'm in multiple FB groups for playing pick-up in my area and see apps like Jogabo mentioned every now and then yet it never seems to gain traction and people just resort to posting on FB.
1) Video is pretty smooth 2) So many hatchback cars 3) You traveled pretty far without running into a single light.
Apps coming in iPhone first is by far my most frustrating experience with Android.
You're right. Instead of forcing customers to pay $60 for each game, they're allowing them to pay $30 for 1 year to play various games.
For me, having a lock screen at work/home is useless and just an annoyance. It's a pain always having to enable it when I leave work/home so this feature is perfect for me.
Interesting. So if you're a patent troll, there is little to no downside to constantly suing companies aside from the legal fees?
No, those were two different people, @tnm and @Holman.

You could use that analogy for pretty much any technological innovation the past 50 years.
This pretty much happened with HoC season 1 as well. Massive hype for this Fincher/Spacey series and then... nothing until a month or two ago for season 2. On the contrary, shows like "Orange is the new black" didn't have much hype initially and slowly grew as more and more people binged through it and became pretty popular.
Andy Greenwald said it best: "I’ve argued before that encouraging this sort of bingeing does no favors to the art or the audience. It takes a pleasantly coursed dinner party and transforms it into a hot dog eating contest." http://grantland.com/features/breaking-bad-black-mirror-year...
Pretty much impossible to predict. The safest bet is to either buy a Nexus phone (Nexus 4, 5, etc.) or maybe the GPE of a phone (S3, One, Moto X). Google stopped supporting the Galaxy Nexus so people were a bit miffed about that.
The good thing with Android is that even if your manufacturer/carrier decides to stop supporting your phone, you still have the opportunity to flash an updated ROM via third-party developers. Granted the performance probably won't be the best but at least you still have the option as opposed to iOS.
While I do think RES is awesome, most of my non-tech friends who browse Reddit (usually on their phone) haven't even heard of RES.
It was useful to me. I was curious what languages/framework the OP did and I had no idea what scirra was until this post.
> and been polite.
Seriously? I don't see any types of aggression in tmikaeld's post.
> Something you could likely consider every time you open your mouth, and I don't mean that in a mean way. Hacker News helped me better modulate what I say.
This post just reeks of elitism. It's like immediately discrediting a comment simply because of one grammar/punctuation mistake.
There was a hackathon this weekend for the SDK and people hoped this would finally be when the SDK would be open for everyone but nope :(
Hell why stop at sports? Let's just ignore current events that will be forgotten in a week!
* The first rule of Fantasy Football is: You do not bitch about Fantasy Football
Literally, no one cares about your team. Maybe the person you're playing against might have an iota but chances are, he's in other leagues and has his own FF problems.
I use my chromecast to put it on my TV but even then, I don't regret paying for cable whatsoever.
I remember reading a thread on r/Android about smartphone use in Korea and someone mentioned people tend to carry around an extra battery when their main battery runs out. I presume Samsung dominates the market over there and their phones have removable batteries.
So where should that 9/10 go?

I suppose I wouldn't care if I didn't have gchat on 100% of the time I'm on a desktop but I dread the day Hangouts replaces Talk.
This just tells me that they want the Hangouts app to be straight up texting app as opposted to an instant messaging app (like Gtalk). No obvious feature of seeing people online and no concept of a "buddy list."
