You bring your own channels, so you may be misunderstanding.
funshed··on Show HN: A CLI tool I made to self-host any app with two commands on a VPS
Nice, you should probably explain what traefik, sops and age will do. First time I've heard of sops, very handy!
funshed··on Scramble: Open-Source Alternative to Grammarly
Absolutely! Being dyslexic, Grammarly is much more than the AI tool that was recently added, which is great, too.
funshed··on Lapsus$: GTA 6 hacker handed indefinite hospital order
It says does it not, social engineering. Getting access to there discord, etc..

A skill in itself but not 0day or anything.

funshed··on Microsoft is eating the world
I imagine that is because Microsoft bends the knee and pays fines to Europe every few years and complies with its orders. The Microsoft software/services the USA see's is different to the Microsoft Software/Services the EU sees.
funshed··on Threads users down by more than a half
I don't think launching an MVP (which this was) works when there is such a large established monopoly your trying to disrupt. Especially as the MVP offers nothing new?

funshed··on Gannett CEO: Here's why we are suing Google for deceptive business practices
"In 2022, Google made upward of $30 billion in revenue from the sale of ad space on publishers’ websites. That was six times the digital advertising revenue of all U.S. news publications, combined. In a functioning market, no one would expect the middleman to make more than the content creator."

Do they think the only "publishers" are "us news publications" or just purposely misleading readers?

funshed··on Ask HN: Why would Google sell Google domains to Squarespace?
CloudFlare Domains is better, a core business of CloudFlare and google would have to invest to compete. Which on the revenue does not make sense.
funshed··on Ask HN: Is Content Marketing Dead? The Rise of AI Search Moats
Harsh, no. I'm finding myself more in agreement more than ever. The future is "added value" such as making tools available, not just a answering questions with a CTA to your product/service.
funshed··on Ask HN: Why does the Bing chatbot have a low limit of dialog iterations?
The longer it talked the more or went off the rails. Microsoft for scared and nuked it, plus saves them money of your concise.
funshed··on Ask HN: How to Build Your Own (Mini) Google Street View?
No, but I did think about it on a sleepless night ounce. Drones were not around when Google started street view. If they launched today, id envision a 'charging & control van' and several AI drones.
funshed··on Stack Overflow questions are being flooded with answers from ChatGPT
The weird thing is 2023 ChatGPT will use its own Stack Overflow answers as an source.
funshed··on Ask HN: How would I send 1 dollar to everyone on Earth?
Count down the number of people in each country, send that amount to the government contracted to only be spent only on reducing national debt.

Has same effect? Perhaps greater as not only reducing debt but interest the people's taxes had to fund.

funshed··on An unofficial guide to Mastodon and Fediverse
It doesn't matter? Or rather pick a fast one and one that has rules you can obay. it doesn't matter, as all servers talk to each other anyway.
funshed··on Your Organization should run its own Mastodon server
I tried for a few hours to get it running on Portainer and gave up.
funshed··on UK Government scans all web servers hosted in the UK for vulnerabilities
Sounds like low hanging fruit scans.
funshed··on UK to hand over Chagos back to Mauritius
Indeed - though negotiations could tie the USA and UK into some form of recognition and protection. Especialy since USA wants to keep its base.
funshed··on Ask HN: Is DDG Becoming Unusable?
I started seeing DDG TV advertising in the UK recently mocking Google tracking.
funshed··on RootMyTV is a user-friendly exploit for rooting/jailbreaking LG webOS smart TVs
I never thought about it but thats probably because Plex can be installed on my TV so its never come to mind.
funshed··on Popcorn Time Is Back
You trust your mobile phone data to some sketchy VPN provider but not your Local ISP?
funshed··on AOL 3.0 reverse engineered
Nothing as elaborate as yours but my parents got that call too. I can't imagine an ISP calling anyone in 2022. Good guys, AOL
funshed··on DuckDuckGo Removes Pirate Sites and YouTube-DL from Its Search Results
Have they? They whitelabled MSN/Bing search. It's probably Microsoft.

I'm sad to read this. As someone who is dyslexic, it's a necessary evil I have to use. Unless there is alternatives?

Infact I use Hemingway App and then Grammarly to write content.

funshed··on The elaborate con that tricked dozens into working for a fake design agency
A "Fake it until you make it" story but "not a single client contract had been signed" how at that scale can "not a single" prospect sign up.
funshed··on Gov.uk Platform as a Service
Nothing is free, if they did that Tax's would have to raise to cover the costs. Plus this is not for busineses but for the Government Department(s) themselves and Quangos.
