These wacky boys think their Bitcoin will save them someday. Whether they foresee a societal meltdown or government breaking down their door and seizing assets, they're living in fear. This wacky company is has found the perfect message and the perfect product for the perfect market.
They are not green. They are not convenient. And cityfolk hate them. Go back to LA bros.
FedEx and UPS happily deliver to my front door, 25 miles and down a long dirt road from the nearest town.
We know from hard data that students from some communities are at an inherent disadvantage in the education system. From family environments to poverty to the mental strain of everyday racism to school funding to parental involvement, some students are at a severe disadvantage. Even when of equal intelligence, maturity and potential.
What universities do is account for these disadvantages in the mix. Is the system perfect? No. But it's good for our collective society, even if a few overachievers have to settle for Yale.
If the latter, expect her "resignation" for "family reasons" in about 60-90 days.
Sorry, maybe the parents are putting too much stress on him for the test, but otherwise do your chores and homework before you play video games (which is what he really wants the hour for).
And in reality, if you have a good product and decent marketing skills you could use Shopify to build an online store and easily become a millionaire. It's not a stretch, IF you have a good product and decent marketing skills.
An NSA spook was working on his home laptop and playing around with some special NSA malware.
Kaspersky AV detected it - AS IT SHOULD - based on heuristic or behavior-based technology that just about every modern AV has.
The data was sent back to Kaspersky servers. This is also how everyone else does it, because this is how A/V companies create signatures that are pushed out to all other people who use Kaspersky so they can be protected against malware that could quickly go viral.
Israelis were poking around KAV servers and found the malware, and told the US Gov.
Those are the facts, right? Everything else is speculation, no? Did I miss something that proves the thesis of the story and the government accusations?
This was more than a simple idea or patent. It was developed by someone with extensive experience in a vertical industry. Google actually paid to contract with him to develop a proof-of-concept, with the idea if the tech panned out and had market viability, they'd take it to market with him.
Google doesn't hire patent trolls or rely on their expertise in developing products.
The lawsuit is full of hyperbole (which hurts it in IMHO), but the underlying claim looks pretty believable.
By the definition, I am a supertaster. I know this because I once had a virus that made the papillae on my tongue swell and I couldn't eat anything for a week. My doctors all exclaimed how many "taste buds" I had and I must taste foods very strongly. I do - I rarely need seasonings - even salt and pepper - or heavy sauces. I eat pretty simple and enjoy (or despise) flavors.
But I love wine and many other strong/sour/acidic/fermented foods. Love dark chocolate. Lemons. Bitter green teas. I suppose I would love these as a medium or light taster too.
On the other hand, I hate coffee, sauerkraut, blue cheese and some other strong foods. I suppose I would hate these as a medium or light taster too. Just maybe not as fervently.
We know that moment. At least, I do. When you're not really sick anymore but you're still recovering from the weakness left in the wake.
I have a group of doctors for an advanced immune system issue and this has been there advice for about four years. When I need antibiotics, we have top use the minimum dosage possible. So they tell me to stop when I feel better. And I do. I have bottles of half-full antibiotics in the bathroom drawer because of it.
My experience is only anecdotal, but I've never had to start over.
It's not so easy to make principled stands when people are depending on you.
