dzader··on Binance US No Longer Allows USD Withdrawal for Users
when the only people using it are grifters and speculators I think that points pretty clearly to the fact that it has no real world utility :)
dzader··on X sues Calif. to avoid revealing how it makes “controversial” content decisions
there is a reason twitter now reports 'user minutes' or whatever and no longer reports DAU. Because their active users are plummeting. If 1000 bots spend all day on twitter thats a lot of 'user minutes' but doesn't do shit for selling ads and the health of the platform. The ship is already sunk, stop trying to bail the water out.
dzader··on Tesla asked officials to redact info of driver-assistance in use during crashes
I also have FSD beta and my model Y can't even get out of my neighborhood successfully. really wish I could get a refund.
dzader··on Supreme Court rules against Epic, so Apple can keep its App Store payment rules
I mean there is documentated evidence that Clarence has been on the take for decades so not very tin foil hat-y to assume this is happening with all of the justices
dzader··on /r/startrek/ migrates to lemmy
Go start your own subreddit then if anyone can do it! I'm sure you'll have tons of users and it will be super popular!
dzader··on Reddit permanently bans account of user advocating Lemmy migration
Reddit is also basically hard down right now and has been for 30+ minutes and not a peep from their status page. Trying to impress investors by lying about their shitty site.
dzader··on Google I/O 2023
> Not only do they not have the integration, scale and user base of Google, Sure, but MSFT does. Well beyond the scale and user base google has.
dzader··on Google I/O 2023
I've been deep in the Google ecosystem for 10+ years and my sentiment has changed simply because their products suck now. Every offering they have is worse today than it was a year ago. Google assistant is borderline unusable in it's current state, and I used to sing it's praises from the mountain tops.
dzader··on SpaceX Starship rocket explodes minutes after launch from Texas
generic term - lot of time aerodynamic forces rip the vehicle apart and isn't an "explosion"
dzader··on SpaceX Starship rocket explodes minutes after launch from Texas
yes, it is.
dzader··on SpaceX Starship rocket explodes minutes after launch from Texas
they said it would take ~6 seconds from engine ignition to takeoff in one of the streams. everything was working as planned at that point afaik
dzader··on Microsoft plugging more ads into Windows 11 Start Menu
Apple music popping up everytime I accidentally hit play on my keyboard is a far more annoying ad than anything windows is doing.
dzader··on Microsoft plugging more ads into Windows 11 Start Menu
You just linked to a graph showing how much they are making off of their services that these ads are pushing. They are definitely making a lot of money off of this.
dzader··on Microsoft plugging more ads into Windows 11 Start Menu
and it's a pool not paying them for services so they probably don't care about losing them.
dzader··on Stabbing of Cash App Creator Raises Alarm, and Claims of a Lawless San Francisco
Do you live in San Francisco? The people here are fully aware of how ridiculously dangerous the city has become. There is no 'performative outrage discourse'
dzader··on Low and moderate alcohol consumption not associated with increased mortality
Nah I don't have any studies just something I had heard but upon some investigation didn't find much in the ways of studies, so probably me just being wrong. thanks for the info!
dzader··on Low and moderate alcohol consumption not associated with increased mortality
Hasn't it been proven recently that they do in fact grow back? Although a quick google seems to have a conflicting info.. so /shrug
dzader··on Johnson and Johnson reaches deal for $8.9B talc settlement
Imagine if google was knowingly killing people with google voice for decades
dzader··on Surveillance Footage of Tesla Crash on SF’s Bay Bridge
ah interesting. I guess the lack of hazards here might indicate this wasn't a case of the driver ignoring the warnings. They should have been ready to hit the gas regardless.
dzader··on Surveillance Footage of Tesla Crash on SF’s Bay Bridge
Is this what happens when the driver ignores the steering wheel nag warning? I've never let mine get to that point but I think the car pulls over and stops? (Not saying what the Tesla did here was ok just curious if that's what it was doing)
dzader··on The Future of Ruby: Is It a Smart Choice for Startups?
why is this here
dzader··on U.S. moves to bar noncompete agreements in labor contracts
I don't know what the role was but I'm 100% sure that's not true at all. there are 0 roles that would disappear if non competes became illegal. 0
dzader··on Blue subscribers should be the only ones that can vote in policy related polls
the biggest issue with this plan (and one he certainly realized by now which is why he hasn't solved this problem) is that the majority of users and followers are simply bots or inactive users. as soon as he purges those and everyone's follower count (most notably his) drops by 50-70% everyone will see the platform as dying.
dzader··on Twitter applies 7-day suspension to half a dozen journalists
lol yeah all those self driving cars out there. coming next year right?
dzader··on Twitter applies 7-day suspension to half a dozen journalists
starship has nothing to do with Elon. I know some SpaceX employees. They let Elon run around like the child he his pretending to be an engineer while they do the real work (and take his money)
dzader··on Twitter applies 7-day suspension to half a dozen journalists
lol you picked the two things no one has said about Elon in 5 years. Basicallyeverything else he has said he would do he has failed at.
dzader··on It's Time to Leave Twitter
My favorite part is that Elon's follower count has only been increasing since he bought the platform despite his many public admissions that most of those accounts are bots. notice how when he bans bots from posting he doesn't delete the accounts so his fragile ego won't be hurt by losing followers
dzader··on BloomTech, previously Lambda School, cuts half of staff
no, it isn't. defrauding and taking advantage of vulnerable people looking to better their lives is the definition of a terrible person.
dzader··on BloomTech, previously Lambda School, cuts half of staff
lol completely agree. there is ample clear evidence you're a scumbag liar yet you continue to create imaginary evidence that you're actually a good person.
dzader··on BloomTech, previously Lambda School, cuts half of staff
calling Austen a CEO is like calling Bernie Madoff an investor. sure maybe it's 'technically' true, but they're both just clueless scammers looking to make a buck.
