You can use a chrome extension to tag people; this helps you to track people you care about. It is called Social Cat https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/social-cat/hhiomok...

Thanks

Is this link broken? I could not open it for some reason...

Many thanks :) I am not very familiar with bookmarklet but will do some research and will code something for you to use on your mobile.

It is quite straightforward, let me know if you need help

The Edge extension should be out in a couple of days...

Hi Alex,

I submitted another Ask HN to check if this is something of interest but could not get much traction. Instead, I added Hacker News to one of my extensions which offers the functionality to tag/categorize people on Social Media. It is not what you asked exactly but may make your life a bit easier hopefully. The extension is called “Social Cat” and the Chrome link is as follows: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/social-cat/hhiomok...

Cheers

My two cents: You should not know a feature that has not been asked of you! Developers sometimes keep adding stuff because they think it is cool/needed but I think more is not always better...

I will check if I can embed this feature to Alex’s idea. Again, I will submit another Ask HN as there does not seem to be much interest for a Chrome Extension. I do not want to create something that does not contribute much to the community.

I will create a separate Ask HN and will implement it if people are interested in. I think it makes sense but wanted to check one more time as I have not received many comments to this post. I will reply back here also to keep you posted if I get some upvotes. Cheers :)

This is a really cool idea but would require proper crawling and a server but I do not have money to rent a server so I will skip it for now. Really good idea however. Thanks :)

This is really cool. Is there a documentation about how to port existing extensions to this browser?

Thanks :) There is not any other response so maybe extensions are not that popular after all.

I did not know this, thanks for sharing

This is an interesting topic. I actually still code in Angular as think it has a more holistic approach than React. However, I might be biased as I am more experienced in Angular than say React. I will follow up the comments to learn from other fellow HN’ers.

Anything interesting that I do not come across in the mainstream media

Good point indeed. Healthcare related expenses can derail one’s finances regardless of income level. How to finance both will be difficult for most countries but it is worth to experiment around the concept and fine tune over time.

As companies see the benefits on their balance sheet, remote work will indeed be more prevalent. It will be curious to see the impact on commercial real estate and the spillover impact on banks

He has got valid points... It would have been impossible to visualize such a hike back then. I am impressed that it took 3 hours for him to code this

Good article, thanks for sharing

This is a little out of my knowledge so I will leave my two cents but hopefully someone with a better idea can opine.

I think ExFat format is supported by Linux, OSX and Windows.

Alternatively, if you are doing this to copy files back and forth, there is also the option of using scp.

FYI: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/HFS_Plus#Linux

As long as you partition it with - say Linux (during installation) you can format the other partition with the other OS installation. You do not need to prepare it in advance before your first installation, I think.
