1) Wii board is mass produced in greater volumes.
2) Selling any technology into medicine is a long slow costly process involving multiple stages of approval and testing. Not so for a consumer game.
No 2 isn't going to change any time soon.
From the guidelines:
You can make up a new title if you want, but if you put gratuitous editorial spin on it, the editors may rewrite it.
Operators need to boost capacity. Apple needs to improve their networking code.
Why do we need one laptop per child in a school? Computers are useful tools but hardly central to learning.
Personally, I would feel terribly uncomfortable if they had booked dancers like this for entertainment. It is a bad idea for two differing reasons.
1. I attend hackdays to build things. Not for loud bands, giant jenga or lap dancing. The intention is hacking, surprisingly. Organisers should focus their energy and resources on good wifi, nice apis, etc that appeal to the hackday audience instead of any form of auxiliary entertainment.
2. There seems to be a slight gender imbalance at hackdays. I don't think lap dancers are going to help that.
Even if this is the local 'norm', Yahoo hackday is a global brand. When people see behaviour like this, it marks the whole tech community as either misogynistic or ladish.

Normally yes, but in this case it nudged other news outlets such as the BBC to report on the story and prompted a debate in Parliament on if these gag orders are too easy to abuse. I would say that's some positive outcome, even if it does little to help those who were affected by the toxic waste.
And here is the report in question on wikileaks: http://wikileaks.org/wiki/Minton_report:_Trafigura_Toxic_dum...
What's interesting is some Guardian staffers are tweeting links to the wikileaks on their personal accounts. Are they covered by the gag order on The Guardian itself?
The problem is twitter is a broadcast service. If one of the people I follow chooses to use your service then I also get to see your advert. Admittedly this is why it benefits you.
It is however highly irritating. I'd rather not have to unfollow an otherwise interesting friend because of a service like yours.
As such I also despise any service that encourages people to RT, especially if it is disinteresting spam.
You've obviously put time and effort into this app. Wouldn't your creative energy be better spent building something useful, delightful, helpful, etc rather than a spamming tool?
