I immediately discounted everything I'd just read. I cannot imagine doing this work manually, but I also cannot imagine believing that these effects are real based on ChatGPT's determination.
Maybe that's just indicative of my current "AI" cynicism, but it was remarkable to me how immediately my opinion changed.
The real issue is that schools are too expensive. It shouldn't be a mistake that takes a lifetime to pay back if you pursue a degree that "the marketplace" doesn't reward with a six- or seven-figure salary.
I fail to see how this system (which I'm not a big fan of, to be clear) makes it easier if you assume governments can and will fabricate evidence. Doesn't seem you need an iPhone, smartphone, or to have owned or done anything at all in that case.
My guess is that by default it's not fully cached at all of their edge nodes, and by adding an aggressive Page Rule, the edge nodes can actually cache my site (which is very small and simple).
No current app store effectively blocks any of this, but I certainly imagine their envisioned free-for-all involves even more invasive trackers, to which I say "no thanks."
I hope Apple quadruples down on their privacy stance and starts blocking this BS that's built into apps.
Unless I'm missing something, they never did anything unique to "use its clout to affect change on other organizations and make that data available to them in the form they wanted"—it was just an RSS reader, and what you've described is exactly how I use my reader of choice (Feedbin). Many modern offerings even offer a feature to pull the full text for articles where it's not included by default.
The App Store has problems, but all apps there being "loser apps" is not one of them.
I'm currently deciding on an analytics package, so excuse the several JS calls that are present—though they all strive to be relatively unintrusive.
