Wow - one written in the style of President Trump - is very much in there style, I could not tell it was an AI.

Love the blog post. I did something similar with Kindles - into a plug-and-play HDMI monitor. But not as good as you on delay.

I may need to look again at the parameters you have used for ffpmeg, as it appear to be almost a sorcery to get the correct parameters.

Frigate -> Home Assistant -> WhatApp Messages DIY, $2 per month + electric change. The $2 cover WhatsApp group messages - as it works for all phone in family with the app sleeping. Easy to share clips.

For example - who was the person who approache dthe door with an umbrella today.

Frigate makes sure its a person, Frigate makes sure it in the correct area of camera. Cheap rtsp camera, standalone wifi network. Frigate is the bridge to 'normal' lan.

How about this project I put together ? https://hackaday.com/2021/01/08/old-kindle-shows-hdmi-video-...

I work 90% - every other Friday not working, taking the pay cut. The majority work 100%, about 2% work 60%. The confidence to maintain it is not that hard. I think my productivity is as good as I can be more focuses on the shorter week. Some colleagues need reminding I will not be in on the Friday - I take this as validation that it works.

Have the confidence.

How would you compare the luxury multi-day train trips to a (sea) cruise ? I am generally interested in trying out the multi-day train, I done many overnight sleep trains in the UK. I like cruises, (like you said not having to drive siting with a book and watching the next destination get closer).

Or tinkercad ?

This week - cake cutter - London underground roundal shape Mounts for ESP32 camera Parts for building a shed Shower holder replacement Lamp holder for outside, which alows me to have small camera inbuilt Camera holder/mount for outside back garden Roof for outside Fire Extinguisher to protect from rain (actually this broken over-night after about a year - hence remember I need to re-print)

Currently designing a treadmill with 3d parts

Off the top of my head.

It just fun and useful to print stuff. Once you know a few basic tools and can think about what prints best.

5 - when if get blocked or 1st print layer is not good.

Starter is quite cheap.

Andrew - you the sort of person I would love to have on my team. Alas I more hardware engineering than software. I hope the community here can give you some good leads and tips.

Karma should be that ethics works.

Wow - https://www.thisworddoesnotexist.com/ is a really useful resource. I would use this not only for usenames, but from brand-names. They are quite a few whihc can be registered as .com

New stamps, now bank notes. New Prison names

I found MailInABxo to be a dream. I ran it on home, with port forwarding etc with ease.

It is great for having a project have a completely different identity. I want to get a used to a few upgrade cycles before I use it for a "main" email address - but I concur the ease of set-up and use.

If it is for a separate project - normally only receiving emails are vital, sending has been ok even with low volume behind a residential IP.

Also son with Autism.

Meltdown happen when you remove the stimulus without warning. Always, Always give a countdown. Either in time or turns.

So reason - i.e. Time to eat now, 10 more seconds before water is turned off. 10..9.8..3.2.1 Turn off water.

The Autism Society do a LIFE changing course for parents on understanding Autism.

Embrace the water games. Make a clear pipe water feature and enjoy to together.

That was an absolute delight of a read. I learned a few things. GIR OAA and SAN TA1 are wonderful postcodes.

No consultation for a redundancy were the service remains the same. Can notsee hwo this is compliant with UK employment law.

"That hadn’t happened to me, but maybe it would be less likely for male drivers." His chosen gender is male.

syncthing - I use. Sync to my local server then that sync to remote server.

Would be interested in the name of he book ?

> level of intimidation that would make a person of sturdy character laugh

The intent was for the intimidation to work, so regardless of how sturdy the character. Its hardly a victimless crime.

Marching and demonstrating maybe not as effective, but I find it hard to celebrating trying to harm another person, regardless of how ineffective. Non-violence is a good way to change unjust laws, intimidation is not just.

I do get that prison will not change your deeply held views.

I am curious if the getting a job using the A-level, reduced your likelihood of reoffending, at the risk of your current job ?

Not sure I feel comfortable with celebrating breaking the law. No one laid a finger - ok no physical violence. However some off the tactics used against people involved in activities you disagree with were not pleasant. I not sure I agree with the narrative that it is a victimless crime.

On the other hand prison works rehabilitated in to society.

First attempt level 3. Love the Why you built this!

This is my got to fall sleep radio. It the most British thing, it is actually (only really used it one) useful if you go sailing.

My partner complained last night I was snooring whilst this was too loud on my headphones, but I think of the map, the weather in that place - and off to sleep I got.

Disappointed having watch the earlier rounds there were not much in terms of tips.

Just heavy use of index, left$ and if statements.

Irony, posting about toxic social media, to a facebook link.

Appropriate any pointers, as I want to copy and paste from an book on the Kindle ended up camera photo to ocr. I am on Linux (Debian) and struggle to complete this task. Either I am not good a google or need to re-try.

I think for beginners Django rocks. I dont do software at all in my career (Engineering), but I can pick-up a django project, look through the example project in the documentation and then throw (and I mean throw) together a working django project in a few evenings. With a very much an amateur knowledge of python. As in another thread, the css takes longer.

Are they any other beginner alternatives I should be looking at ?
