Now the steps are: 1. Apply special UV tape 2. Etch away copper substrate 3. Place the graphene where it needs to go 4. Apply UV light, so the tape is less flexible and 10% less sticky 5. Carefully peel them apart
Seems like the last step got a little easier
If they perfect it, they'd like to move larger graphene pieces (currently the largest is 10cm^2) and enabling shipping of graphene to other scientists. Currently graphene is hard to ship, as it's really delicate, usually only moved around the lab or short distances
The fact that it works is astounding
We humans can metabolize/excrete the shorter ones (common in food wrappers, cosmetics, fire fighting foam) over months to years, but the longer ones (mostly banned in the 2010's IIRC) are usually never metabolized and slowly build up in the body and mess things up. Like cancer rates near DuPont GenX factories or fire fighters having higher rates of testicular cancer.
TLDR: PFASes are bad, NZ is doing a good thing. Not sure if we have replacement chemicals for PFAS yet, but I hope so
I tried giving a gift to some, as thanks for letting me sleep on their couch. They told me no no no. I asked my friends about it, they told me it's about face.
Omg, I get that honor is a big thing, but it makes normal interactions way more complicated.
Maybe this one is better
I still think humans have better pattern recognition in the stock market than neural nets...at least for now
I imagine that if you see it come in slightly BEFORE the expected drone, you'd be confused. Which one is the real McCoy, especially if they have the same signature on the radar. You don't want to shoot down the wrong one.
You need a strong economy to shift to a Green future. Norway was a small country before oil and gas, now they've made the best use of it out of any country in the world.
Shouldnt they keep their foot on the pedal a little longer? Making new battery technology isn't cheap.
His AI timelines haven't sped up, only clarified
I know that most hotels have a survivable desk and chair, but that probably isn't an optimal solution.
What would an idea solution look like? Airbnb but with a gaming setup room?
(I read this stuff a while back, don't take any of it at face value without doing your own research)
NIR has been known to be useful for a while. Closer to 1000nm, penetrates deeper, but isn't as 'potent'
670nm is great, but you can notice it when it's on, ESPECIALLY if it's the only light in your room, which can be annoying.
It's true that NIR stuff is healthy for your eyes, but HOW much so, is up to debate.
I've bought 10 30 W NIR bulbs to no effect (range from 650nm-950nm), but on the other hand blue light bulbs have been helpful with increasing visual accuity (shorter wavelengths appear to your eyes as fuzzy, so your eyes push themselves to refocus more often, though at the downside of low dopamine levels and no will to do anything {maybe this goes away with time? But I've spent a few days doing nothing due to blue light and I like to be productive}, while red light has no effect on motivation, but worsens my eyesight (light appears in focus, no need to refocus, eyes get "lazy")
All of this anecdotal, but I really do like reading/learning about this stuff and NIR seems to be more fad than not in real world situations
I think my friends would love to see our old memories come alive again
