beezlewax··on ASML says it sold 'absolutely nothing' in Europe in 2026
More Europe bashing here lately. Are you a bot?

beezlewax··on People hooked on vapes try a new way to quit: cigarettes
This is not true.. you can chain smoke for hours if you get used to smoking. Drunk people do it all the time. When your nicotine addiction ramps up enough you'll get cravings to do that always.

This link currently works in spain
beezlewax··on If AI coding is lowering your code quality, you're not managing quality right
50 or 100 seems unlikely. Even with all these improvements, custom setups and guardrails it just isn't that much faster for me.
beezlewax··on Learning another language may be one of the best ways to keep your brain healthy
I've done this by moving to Spain. It took literally years to get to a decent level and my partner is Spanish.

Persistent learning and repetition is key but the main way I improved was by letting go of the fear of sounding stupid and talking without shame.

beezlewax··on AI Protest in Montreal
They haven't figured out what to do about climate change yet though. Why do you assume it is ok to power on and someone else will fix tye problems for us?
beezlewax··on Claude is a Contrarian
Claude's use of language is hideous at this point. It is verging on gibberish wrapped in important-sounding prose.

What does it being remote have to do with anything?
beezlewax··on I resigned from Anthropic today
I don't disagree with your statement but you could insert other technological advancenents like railroads or metros or spacecraft in place of Ai here.
beezlewax··on I resigned from Anthropic today
> They do as they are told

This isn't strictly true.

It it also where part of the problem might lie.

Nefarious humans making bad decisions.

beezlewax··on Sweden pauses Denmark power cable over EU grid rules
Why the constant EU bashing on this site now?
beezlewax··on Smartphone LED detects hidden cameras with AI
Not everyone has accepted that.

Meta glasses are known as perv glasses. People are actively destroying flock cameras all over.

beezlewax··on The Vibe Tax
I've found writing small well defined tickets and getting Claude to work on them works well for this type of workflow.
beezlewax··on Air Theremin – a browser theremin you play by waving at your webcam
One AI slop comment.
beezlewax··on Earth.nullschool.net
What are you saying? You don't want people forking open source code?
beezlewax··on Why does Opus 5 feel worse to work with?
And this is infuriating. I don't want to read all this gibberish anymore. It's making me hate what software engineering has become.
beezlewax··on Shade Map
I used this to check if I could see today's eclipse in Barcelona from my apartment buildings roof. Worked pretty well.
beezlewax··on Controversial creators are benefiting from monetization programs run by Meta
> do you expect everyone to agree with your moral code and quit their job

Yes. This would be ideal.

beezlewax··on Why MySpace fans want it back as relaunch hinted
That whole emo scene seemed to eminate from MySpace.

It was great for budding musicians of all types though

beezlewax··on Fastmail offers EU data region
The European Parliament is elected by vote and has to ratify the chosen members of the EU council. The president of the council included.
beezlewax··on LinkedIn Feed Blocker
Because nobody posts anything and it is 90% bots?
beezlewax··on What is a product?

I've found the opposite to be trie very often.

The result of this is huge wastage in terms of effort and tokens.

This absolutely is the opposite of what I want to see in a music video
beezlewax··on Claude Code sends 33k tokens before reading the prompt; OpenCode sends 7k
Spawning a bunch of agents seems to happen randomly. I almost never want this.
beezlewax··on Age verification is just a precursor to automated attribution of speech
I emailed my local TD minister in Ireland about the inherent dangers of chat control. They had some lacky respond with an email that framed the conversation in a way that made it look like I was interested in the illegal content and not privacy/control or nefarious future governments.
beezlewax··on Age verification is just a precursor to automated attribution of speech
