> He doesn’t mind the way I want to live — he just goes along with it.
> I once had a conversation with my husband about how if I died, he’d have to keep taking care of my parents. It’s a dark topic, I know, and he wasn’t thrilled about the idea. But he wouldn’t kick them out.
> My dad is now retired, and when my mom retires she’ll move in with us too. The plan is to give them this house eventually, and get our own nearby.
She says her parents aren't pleasant people. Imagine how her husband feels about dedicating all his future earnings towards their happiness. She thinks this is normal.
I'm assuming this means a stable coin?
Has anyone figured out how to verify the backing on a blockchain? If that was possible Tether's fraud would have been exposed sooner.
Also, why is Facebook's new currency rumored to be backed by multiple currencies? That seems like it would add volatility instead of lessening it.
Also, there are a lot of independent movies and TV shows on NetFlix. And they suck. Horrible acting and plot but the cover is sometimes good enough to trick you into wasting time taking a look.
I'm not saying that I think Google is innocent but often the evidence is very difficult for the lay person to interpret (especially when it is absent).

Ethereum 2.0 will have sharding. That should speed up transactions but sidechains will probably always be cheaper and sometimes no fee.
I'm assuming it saves periodically and uploads when it acquires a connection.
Tyler Cowen covers other instances in his new book: Big Business: A Love Letter to an American Anti-Hero.

Yes, the long-term effects of taking ketamine frequently are not well understood. In my opinion a patient with TRD should be allowed to take this risk provided that they have tried several other drugs.
> A typical case would be 8-12 infusions over 4-6 weeks.
That's $7,800 for a month of treatment. That's a lot of money when considering that ketamine is not a cure and the patient will need future treatments.
I'm taking 250mg sublingual every day and paying ~$3000/year. Most of the cost is taxis, planes, and shipping because I'm out of state and have to fly in to see my doctor. If I lived in Maryland the cost would be much lower.
Also, if infusion clinic docs weren't bankrupting patients by picking the most expensive (read: lucrative) ROA the cost would be much cheaper.

It's definitely a value add for Apple users and something Tim Cook relishes throwing in Zuckerberg's face.
Other companies don't seem to care so much. I think a good compromise is having more data in the cloud that can only be decrypted by the user.
