Hit me up at chaitanyanettem@gmail.com if you want to talk about Computer Vision, Graphics, Kubernetes or something in between.
I'm finding the comments in the current thread quite enriching to be honest.
what do you mean by this? that humans not of the western world are "lower quality"?
Happy to see that there is corporate sponsorship for this. Gives me some hope that this will allow MDN to outlast any eventuality that might befall Mozilla.
I see my processor spin up to 90% utilization whenever I do a zoom call.
Only if you are using a Mac. On linux, the zoom client is neither fast nor (in my admittedly slightly subjective opinion) nice.
As a linux user, I'd like to say that I've seen that happen just as often with OSX users on my team. I think that's just Zoom's shitty app. But I do agree about peripheral hardware issues plaguing Linux. Bluetooth headphones are still such a hassle on Ubuntu 20.04.
What? Are you serious with this line of thought that Indians should be grateful to the British for democracy? I'd like to quote Shashi Tharoor's arguments here from an Oxford Union debate [0] -
> It's a bit rich to oppress, enslave, kill, torture, maim people for 200 years and then celebrate the fact that they're democratic at the end of it. We were denied democracy sir! We had to snatch it, seize it from you! With the greatest of reluctance it was conceded.
Now if only they could introduce some way to enable subscription payments, it'd be the cherry on top.
Would be interested to know what kinds of things you're using it for/what scale/which language client?
I hate the fact that it requires you to install the client for it to work.
The client randomly spikes in cpu usage while running in the background. Multiple times I've also had this issue where I'll try to right click the zoom icon in the system tray and quit zoom, causing it to hang and reach 100% cpu usage on one core.
I also don't like that on clicking on a zoom video call link sometimes the browser to client redirect works but sometimes it doesn't and you need to then go back and click the link again.
For me, Google meet works much better.
It seems especially cruel that they'd choose to enforce the rule at a time like this.
- removed all the rounded edges
- added lines dividing the rows in the files table
It looks way better with these two things in my opinion. Maybe someone can create a browser extension which does these things.Sadly https://www.dinostomatopie.com/ and http://www.dinostomatopie.com/ failed to open with a message saying "Netscape and this server cannot communicate securely because they have no common encryption algorithm(s)".
