Nope. With modern frameworks you get very powerful layout systems but they tend to favor cross-device compability and responsiveness and not the kind of layout control that desktop publishing or Photoshop gives you.
Pixel perfection is very expensive and time consuming across multiple devices. Even resorting to images can be difficult due to device responsiveness. Unless we are talking about highly targeted campaigns that feature single page apps, you won't be bothering with pixel perfect designs for ALL you sites.
You can't really expect anything more insightful at this time, especially from a pop science article. It will likely take years, if not decades, before we truly understand covid-19 in-depth.
Please keep in mind that some HNers are modeling their behavior after buggy machines and bad code and that this influences their thinking and language.
I've been watching lots of regular morning TV after years of barely watching any at all, and freedom from choice can really be great sometimes. Even if the TV programming never is optimized to my specific needs, just watching it unfold is comforting and you realize there are valuable skills involved in curation for thousands or even millions of people.
IKEA's online shopping even sucks in Sweden, with shipping being expensive or online ordering unavailable for many products. Honestly their rate if innovation kinda sucks outside their narrow field of expertise (huge furniture warehouses). Like, they have for decades been discussing offering small stores to sell everyday necessities to customers who can't or won't travel to their warehouses outside the cities, but nothing has come out of it.
Sellers can still game this system by bribing buyers with money, gift cards and products. Most fake reviews these days are written by real people with similar demographic profiles like your average buyer.
Obviously sellers would initially only need to inform all 10k customers that if Amazon would ever request a review for them, there is a $20 reward waiting for writing a 5 star review. Obviously sellers would word things differently. This system would also be much cheaper to game because you only need to bribe 1% of all your customers.
Who is the blog for? What is the goal? Who will dev/maintain it? Do you have any special needs?
9 out of 10 I would suggest a lightweight WordPress installation that's heavily automated wrt to maintenance. If you have the money for it, go with WP Engine or Kinsta. They take care of most major issues so you can focus on the content.
"Longer explanation: This feature has always triggered in one of two ways: keyword tab key search term and keyword spacebar search term. We have disabled the latter because we believe that it was resulting in unintentional triggering for some users."
The second triggering did happen to me occasionally so I understand the rationale behind this change but switching to tab is going to seriously require some re-learning of muscle memory. Since custom search engines seems like a pro feature and pros probably are used to them by now, maybe let it be?
I could only stand Bubble for a day or two before it became too restrictive and yet complex for doing very basic stuff. Buffer suffers from the same issues as other no-code solutions but also has a subpar UI.
Most couldn't even if they wanted because of their finances. But generally, it takes tons of hard work and patience to educate and entertain you kids for 12 hours every day.
I don't have access to Clubhouse but don't you lose an additional ton of valuable information when there is no video? Like non-physical (video) communication already has its challenges but this takes them to another level. Or am I missing something here?
It doesn't help that zuckerberg reputation is absolute dog shit. We are talking about a man that many considers is a threat to democracy. It wouldn't be out of character for him to be petty and vindictive.
Bootstrap is one of the few code projects where the releases still get me excited. It's personally saved me hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars in dev costs.
The quality of spoken English in Germany is mediocre at best and often non-existing or terrible with adults. At least it was two years ago when I visited.
Of course they know that would be the most same option for customers but when vanity metrics and crash management practices take priority, customer satisfaction usually suffers.
