Base models: 3,370 vs 3,968. Flagship models: 3,800 vs 4,663.
So 600-850 lbs differential. Not 1,000, but not just an extra person.
To be fair, the Hyundai does seem larger (12" longer wheelbase).

I agree this style of navigation is great. I don't know if it's in Chrome, though.
Mine still works great, although it still draws ~200 watts of energy.

Really? Is there no good Java book?
I can't actually name one off-hand, but surely... even if it covers only Java 8
I rarely see pros use cheap stuff. They're paying for Stihl eq and mowers I can't even afford.
2-stroke gas eq is incredibly powerful for the weight. More power, more done, more money.
Battery is catching up quick, and honestly will soon deliver even more power, and that's when I think most will switch. I bet many will pay more for a (more-powerful) battery trimmer. But it's not about "cheap" (imo).
In theory, chess is a game of perfect information.
But in practice, this is only true for ~6-piece endgames: every outcome has been / can be computed. But for any middle- or early-game position, the amount of finite information greatly exceeds any person's or computer's capacity, practically speaking.
In concrete terms, the tablebase for 6-piece endgames is ~150 GiB. For 7-piece, it's 16 TiB.
Big Marty's still have a ludicrous amount. I guess it's all or nothing.
Rowing 200 watts is not exactly easy. That's like 2:00/- splits, "ramming speed" type power. Half that seems more reasonable.
I do like the idea, though, of a sailing ship with ad hoc erg/rowing power.
For me, it's serif fonts
1. Triplicate A Code
2. NSimSun
3. Courier Prime
Sans serif fonts certainly have their own appeal
1. The Sans Mono (the O'Reilly book font) / Fira
2. APL385 Unicode (this font's got maybe the best numbers)
3. Mononoki
Pixel fonts, classics (but maybe best on low DPI)
1. Fixedsys Excelsior 3.01
2. 6x13
I think it's kind of an open question: can we learn anything from dreams? It's likely a yes, though I doubt we'll prove the Riemann hypothesis with it or anything like that.
D'ni numerals overlay two base-5 values in the same space, one horizontal & the other vertical, to represent 0–24. There's even a one-character numeral for 25, though it rarely comes up in-game. Different, of course, but I wouldn't be surprised if Cistercian was the inspiration.
1. it's not that the colors are themselves bad, but that the author feels the trend is being forced upon their whole generation
2. there are a number of not-very-grey pastels that I've seen on the road: Subaru's Hyper blue WRX STI, Toyota's Voodoo blue 4Runners, Dodge's orange Challengers, soon Nissan's new yellow Z, ... so maybe the author is too focused on what they dislike
Re: 1, it's funny because I always felt metallic colors were thrust upon us all for 20 years, a trend with its own missteps. Remember the green metallic early-00s Altimas? Worse than any grey pastel I've seen. But it doesn't indict the whole metallic category.
Personally, one of our first family cars was a pastel close to butter. (nowadays, my car is silver metallic)
4Runners still have the old 4.0L 1GR-FE, port-injected. (and a 5-speed automatic! you're right about low-change mentality)
Fuel economy is roughly similar (>= 11.0 L / 100 Km), as far as I know, as is power.
Expanse: Season Five, specifically: why must I get Prime when I've got Seasons 1 - 4 on disc? And who's gonna buy GoT S5-8? Westworld S4?
I've got no comment on any increase in DVD sales, though. That's not my market. I only rip CDs (which skip like crazy, while I've literally never had a disc issue with DVD/Blu).
I mean, is int[] a mimic of ArrayList<Integer>, or vice versa? Of course they're similar, of course they're different. Is "mimicry" just a pejorative thing?
Seems like above a certain size, stealing becomes a great business strategy.
No, buddy, just people like you.
If you really feel your job is slaving at a digital conveyor belt if you can't socialize with coworkers/friends, I just don't know what to say.
No offense, but you kinda sound like an asshole.
In CoffeeScript (which I think solves this nicely), it looks something like
for i in [0...3] # 3 3 3
setTimeout (() -> console.log "#{i}"), 100
for i in [0...3] # 0 1 2
setTimeout (do (i) -> () -> console.log "#{i}"), 100
for i in [0...3] # 0 1 2
do (i) ->
setTimeout (() -> console.log "#{i}"), 100[1] https://aviationweather.gov/radar/plot?region=alb
(feel free to change, in the top left, Type = Comp Ref, and to Loop)
Maybe you like the Quiet Move type puzzles? Those are a weak spot for me.
_.chain(inputSet)
.filter((x) => x >= 0)
.map((x) => x * 2)
.thru((e) => new Set(e))
.value()
I think it looks fine, works fine.
