Why wasn't it done by the American military - surely this potential has been known for decades now.
They have the budget for it.
I'm a software engineer of 24 years. Maybe there's some synergy here.
Feel free to reach out to me on LinkedIn (in my profile).
Everyone is a complex mixture of both.
My dad loved reading and sharing technical subjects with me and is probably part of the reason why I enjoy a good career today.
He also cheated on my mom for 30 years for which we didn't discover until the last 3 years of his life. We didn't have much money growing up. He probably took her out to dinner with money we didn't have.
It's perfectly normal to both love and hate parts of someone, but not reject them as a whole.
Multi-file code suggestions with an intimate understanding of the entire code base.

P.S. Or Plandex, https://plandex.ai/
Tesla's generalized driving algorithm vs Waymo's cherry-picked routes and ideal weather.
Tesla is winning. And the gap is getting wider.
I encourage you to watch some of the videos on Twitter.
It's here. It's now.
All engineers are utilizing GPT to write their resumes/cover letters.
The written word and keyword references are no longer a signal of ability.
Give them a couple of questions to answer on video.
Record the time when the questions were displayed vs when their video cover letter/resume was submitted to ensure they're organically answering the questions.
Otherwise, be prepared to sift through literally 1,000+ applicants.
Hiring has slowed in the U.S. I wonder if in part it's because everyone now can submit a very qualified resume and it's become increasingly difficult to differentiate good vs bad candidates? Especially given the increase in applicants.
Any reviews?
I tweeted about Copilot Workspace the other day.
Although, it's now prompting me to make an account when I issue `plandex new`?
None of the video demos show this requirement.
I think the demos should show this requirement. Or the Quickstart docs should directly link to the self-hosted instructions.
"? Hey there! It looks like this is your first time using Plandex on this computer.

And if you do let your kids play freely, and something happens - they get hurt, they break something, they're being loud, there's the attitude from others of "why aren't you watching your f*ing kid?".
Excited to try this to see if it measures up.
E.g.
resistant hypertension many medications
Which led me to a couple of research articles about pheochromocytomas and a Washington Post article about someone with high blood pressure on a "bucketload of medications".

If the LLM can provide a sample Google-like analysis, data points that my 7 specialty doctors missed, that's an improvement.
Anything outside the check list leaves them scratching their head. They’re terrible debuggers.
I had early high blood pressure since high school. Four blood pressure medications, one being a diuretic. Signs of edema.
It’s not like my condition required any complicated diagnostics. I met the checklist.
5 cardiologists 2 nephrologists in my lifetime. Nothing but more pills for treatment. Over two decades.
I had to be the one to research and then ask to see an endocrinologist because I thought it might be hyperaldosteronism. They were dismissive when I asked but reluctantly made the referral.
Yes, it was unilateral hyperaldosteronism. Had my left adrenal gland removed because of it.
And now my BP is much more stable. I still take a couple of BP drugs, but in smaller doses. And my BP is much more normal and stable.
No more wild, 3am ER visits where my BP was 200/120. And I lost about 15 lbs of water weight.
If have long lived resistant hypertension, please ask to see an endocrinologist to get screened for hyperaldosteronism.
He utilizes the hex-bar deadlift.
He has his football athletes complete the concentric phase (picking up from the ground) as fast as possible.
They just drop the weight when they reach full extension at the top.
He claims that the eccentric phase (lowering) is when all of the micro-muscle tears occur. These tears cause muscle growth.
By dropping the hex-bar deadlift weight at the top, instead of lowering, you get most of the strength gain, without the muscle size growth.
This is an effort to increase leg strength (for speed) without adding additional body weight.
Getting faster by getting stronger but staying lighter.
With savings comes extra cash.
And extra cash can only sit on the sidelines for so long.
Until company’s are lured once again in to making bigger, larger, scalable bets.
You need engineers to explore new hypotheses, to drive growth, to explore these new possible markets.
Greed always returns. Idle money, stagnant growth helps no one.
You don’t scale a company with savings. You scale up by spending.
You’d be extracting optimization candidates by running the test suite.
You re-run the test suite after changes to ensure they still pass.
Run the test suite, identify optimizations. One by one, make the the optimization change to the implementation as suggested by the LLM.
Instrument the changed methods on the second test run and see if runtime performance has changed. Verify that the test still passes.
It captures everything for a given request - each method call, params/argument/return values, class name/method/line of execution.
You can visibly see which method called which, as each method call is nested relative to its parent callee, in a single consolidated timeline.
Will he lower interest rates?
