OrgNet··on Mozilla’s DNS over HTTPs
so we agree the ESNI is not in used?
OrgNet··on Mozilla’s DNS over HTTPs
Your ISP can still see the IPs that you are talking to... What are you talking about? They can even see the url even if you dont use them as your DNS
OrgNet··on Safari will no longer trust certs valid for more than 13 months
Google doesnt trust my password for a gmail account that I last used 6 months ago (I had to also provide one my previous password to be able to login). It is getting ridiculous...

Now I gotta keep an history of passwords, just for Google...

OrgNet··on Past Time to Tell the Public:It Will Probably Go Pandemic, We Should Prepare Now
if you need supplies, what are you going to do?
OrgNet··on Haven: turn old Android phones into security cameras
not all old phones are created equal... some consume more power then the charger can provide (they can't run continuously in that case).

But I do have a bunch of security footage that I don't want to watch and I'm looking for software that can extract images from the video that contain people

OrgNet··on Past Time to Tell the Public:It Will Probably Go Pandemic, We Should Prepare Now
I heard that viruses can enter the body by contact with the eye... so some mask with goggles might be safer?
OrgNet··on A video game that lets you make video games
Any chance that game runs on a PS4 emulator?
OrgNet··on FCC forced by court to ask the public again for feedback on net neutrality
Do you have a better option for the crooks?
OrgNet··on QEMU for iOS
but it says "No jailbreak required!"... I thought that meant only appstore apps where allowed on your device...
OrgNet··on QEMU for iOS
I'm surprised that Apple allows apps like QEMU... it's not like them. Gives me hope...
OrgNet··on Single-payer healthcare would save $450B and 68k lives a year: study
The worst thing for me is if you go, for example, to the emergency room, the hospital charges you something like $200 and you think that is the end of it, but about a month later, other bills start coming in: $300 for xray, $350 for doctor X, etc... health insurance in the US sucks.

> I sold a mint-in-box Sony a7R 4
OrgNet··on Should Facebook, Google be liable for user posts? asks U.S. Attorney General
Of course they should, because they moderate content. (you can't have it both ways... you either moderate or don't... but if you do moderate, you are responsible for what you let through)
OrgNet··on Should Facebook, Google be liable for user posts? asks U.S. Attorney General
this, 100%... and label them as dangerous internet entities
OrgNet··on Google Fonts Analytics
either way, loading fonts from google for every website is a stupid idea... it is why an extension like decentraleyes is a good idea (because most website don't think about the consequences).
OrgNet··on Samsung accidentally sends 'Find My Mobile' notifications to Galaxy phones
My LG G8 ThinQ was made in Vietnam
OrgNet··on Teardown of a $1.25 LED Lightbulb

OrgNet··on How Big Companies Buy Credit Card Data on Millions of Americans
cash and bitcoins are underrated
OrgNet··on Teardown of a $1.25 LED Lightbulb
it's very rare for me to have an LED bulb that last less than 2 years... but I have 4x 18-watts recessed led fixtures in the kitchen and one burnt out after about 2 years and they are no longer manufactured so I have to find one that look-a-like....
OrgNet··on ADS-B Exchange – Co-op of unfiltered flight data
I scanned the waves around my home for aircrafts and it was fairly common to see an airplane in the sky that wasn't broadcasting any signal

OrgNet··on Why are we so bad at software engineering?
> [...] it has worked for a decade so far

if you don't change the inputs or any other variables, it is different from a program deployed in the wild... but yeah not very many things are perfect (even the sun will die one day).

OrgNet··on Court rules that people can't be locked up indefinitely for refusing to decrypt
it is still wayyyyyyyyyyyy too long.
OrgNet··on Why are we so bad at software engineering?
> We aren't bad at software engineering.

I have never seen perfect software, have you? They always end up with bugs that make you vulnerable...
