I'm way more happier reading stuff that has citations and references to supplement their research - try to publish a research paper without any of these and you get laughed out the door.
Why the default assumption that everyone wants to participate in a rat race and play office politics to get a chance to be promoted?

First it says 10 licenses, then it highlights that the cost will be 200 per month. When you try to reduce number of licenses below 10 it will automatically switch you to Pro plan, voiding 10-license-minimum requirement.
Not sure what else they could have done?
However, I would not tip on principle should I knew the staff would be bragging on TikTok on how they "punish" folks who don't tip in advance, before even getting serviced. This is stupid, lose-lose, and childish behavior; and I actually hope it's not something that happens en masse. I haven't been back to the US over the past ~5 years but it couldn't have changed that much. Or could it?
It'd be interesting to know why they failed. I have to admit I got burnt a bit because we started to integrate with Koncrete and then they were out (and we've had to move away).
Running a database on Kubernetes backed by an object based storage? Not even close.
Don't get me wrong, Clickhouse folks are great and their DB is fantastic, but your scale may need some adjustments.

Maybe I'm too paranoid but I'm somewhat annoyed I have to give up everything except my SSN to try some new SaaS and then risk getting harassed by email, by phone, and god knows how.

Would you mind sharing why? I'm curious because I'm building a Next.js-powered Slack app currently.
I've been struggling to integrate Stytch SDK with next-auth even though there's a tutorial for magick.link [0] that I tried to replicate to no avail.

Disclaimer: not defending Binance, not into crypto, just a note.
More to say, some studies [0] have shown that with Unlimited Paid Time Off "employees took less time off than previously, presumably leading to higher burnout rates".

Overall, I think Gitlab is building a culture that _to me personally_ looks weird, you know when you talk to someone and have a gut feeling that you can't trust them?
Did they fix location-based pay yet, many times discussed on HN in context of Gitlab? If not, any news on introducing Purchasing Power Parity?
