One of my coworkers swears he's more productive at home - but when he is doing so he's not helping with the day to day walk up issues, or phone calls (which is also part of his job)
Some offices you could use for the day, some long conf tables.. some cafe style booths, rooms with projectors, areas with couches and coffee tables, heck even had a tree house you could book meetings in.
Personally i'd like the options. sometimes im heads down on a solo task other times i need 3-5 other people around.
Other than that the only one coming to mind is Coober Pedy - but thats caves - man made though...
he's a video game reviewer, It is a slow week for video games but he had to get an article out.
I have one of those and an Embody. i'd spend more time in the stressless if its something im doing thats chill. the embody is more of a get shit done kind of feeling.
geesh.
but as with any data set the more you put into it the more relevant data you'll get out of it. subscribe, thumbs up or down, don't recommend channels.. eventually you'll get to the point where the system suggests stuff you actually care about.
in your 2nd paragraph it sounds more like you want podcasts not pre filtered clickbaity youtube videos. Especially if you're looking for nuggets of information. It would probably faster to read the transcripts / comments to gain those insightful ideas. Especially if the idea is only 30 seconds out of a 30 min video.
music in the background at work / driving. actual videos most of my evenings, even if its just on in the background. If someone's content is exceptional to me i'll subscribe to their patreon for a couple months.
Cable would cost me what about 50 bucks a month depending on channels i wanted... so i figure i have about that to spend on entertainment elsewhere.
why bother?
while i don't agree with anything posted there its interesting to see the spin that they're giving their own people.
pessimistic vs optimistic maybe?
it did lessen the shock of Hundreds to Thousands of people died today kind of headlines... But that's just normalization to the news
you have basically the same problem with any user driven site, IRC, Forums, Facebook, Reddit... hell even the 'zine culture, most usergroups, clubs.
Its not reddit's problem or fault, we all want to belong to a group where we get excited in the same ways about a thing.
in the junk bin they went. I do 99% of my content consuming via xbox apps at this point. Youtube (red subscriber) self hosted Plex, and occasional Amazon TV content (really only for the expanse, but now that thats over... not sure i need it)
I know CIBC uses FIS products, and i seem to remember some of the other ones being discussed (former FIS employee here)
Coworkers (report writers and the like) tried it - loved it - hate the fact that our C levels want them back in the office. But even though they felt like they were more productive at home they didn't do half their work, and they weren't around to fix the easy stuff before it became a ticket... rest of the buiilding resented the fact that they were never around to help
super special video cards? just ditch them... upload what you need off the drives to the cloud and ditch them too - or migrate them to an SSD to take with you. Books can be repurchased, or if they are sentimental or valuable.. take them with you if its just a couple.
overall there were some scenes in ready player 2 i enjoyed, i don't regret reading it.. but i won't ever re-read it. (it is a quick read too, read it in a day, at work... )
Could have easily just been Wedding Clothes Store, or "Traditional Indian dress" they got very specific when they probably didn't need to to advance the storyline.
in your example I could have gone to those stores or said walmart/target/shopco/fred meyers and it would have satisified all of your arguments. But i wouldn't go to the Nuts and Bolts store to get hotdogs, or to the butchers for nuts and bolts (nuts maybe... )
Plus isn't she a fashion writer in the show? she could spout off dozens of styles of shoes by their proper names, so it wouldn't be far fetched to know the difference between a couple of styles of dress
sure it seems simple take a bag put it in a tube, take it off the tube give it back to the person.. but man, probably 30 people touched that bag in that process, countless conveyer belts, several trucks.. add in TSA and it doubles the handling
i mean its my money, my time, who cares? I bought the game legit, i subscribe to "cheat" groups.. Does me getting to the last level deprive anyone else of that experience legit or otherwise? It would be different if i was posting spoilers day of release or something.
