0gs··on google.com/goto: Google's anti-scraping update
it sounds like it primarily matters if you are a customer of this company, one that is building a search index off of urls scrapably hardcoded (or at least so as to be easily unencodable in non-realtime, it sounds like?) inside google search result redirects. in theory, there could be noticeable consumer user impact, but ... it would have to be a pretty large theory
0gs··on Suno v6 released for music creation
muzak is even more evil than a casual observer might guess -- there were forks used for essentially "labor mind control" in the 70s and 80s -- but it is hard for me to agree that the world does not need it. and the companies that made billions off of that were tech companies leeching off of working musicians too.

now, is suno a "better" way to make functional music, if it is determined to be a business necessity for thousands of businesses? idk.

but the muzak company still exists, under some other name, and i think SOMEBODY should disrupt the hell out of them, without paying session musicians $50 a day because they are exploitable.

this is where i start saying "please don't downvote me i am nice and have thought about this exact topic for the last 3 years straight, i even wrote a play about it"

0gs··on Suno v6 released for music creation
the tension is going to continue for a while. this model is pretty strong, which is saying a lot.

i am a musician (songwriter/singer/multi-instrumentalist) with many, many years under my belt. i still like writing songs, i do it all the time. kind of like their educational benefits in other areas, the music models -- musiclm first, then stable, then suno for me -- have taught me, somehow, so much more about how the music i like to listen to works, and i am already seeing the benefits in my (extremely human, perhaps award-winningly so) music practice.

it is ALSO true that it can help you pinpoint all the kinds of music you like that don't exist, and that is very tempting -- with suno in particular, it can be intoxicatingly button-pushing, pun intended.

it's difficult but possible to resist that pull. there are people blissing out to inhuman music with their fave microgenres and that is bad, whether they are musicians or not. (i have a hunch that musicians are more susceptible to this particular breed of siren virus than non-, but no anecdata to back it up).

i think the main reason i risked my precious pointz by posting this is to say: it is extremely clear that lots of musicians are using this tool (and the other similar ones, lyria aside lol, rip musiclm) in both scrupulous and unscrupulous ways.

non-musicians too, but uh, maybe fewer scrupulous options open to them (doesn't take much to "be" a musician, just a willingess of soul!)

links at the top e.g. show redirect to the regular site, i presume they are supposed to go to a filtered version
0gs··on Show HN: Toast, a beautiful by default in terminal IDE
hard to argue that the UBHON is a recurring theme these days! rimshot
0gs··on Matt Mullenweg tells Automattic staff in Slack he's back in control after ouster
or they just love wordpress, the product, so much, and believe in it fully. lol
0gs··on The same nine streaming subscriptions cost $702/year more than in 2021
saying "the exact same products" when the products in question are constantly expanding (and occasionally contracting) libraries of video content is definitely "a move"
0gs··on Bending Spoons buying Miro for $1.355B
yeah this was a misread of the surrounding context, my bad
0gs··on Bending Spoons buying Miro for $1.355B
is the $100K ARR quote a typo?
0gs··on Thanks to Siri Recaps, your Apple Watch is always listening
fwiw, the new pebble lasts a week on a charge and it is great. but agree most of the smart features are still useless.
0gs··on Muse – Meta’s personal AI agent
yeah, i could at least see telling this muse thing to post stuff to instagram for me.
0gs··on OUI-1: world's first model for Generative UI

0gs··on How the Tobacco Industry Drove the Rise of Ultra-Processed Foods (2025)
every once in a while i wonder why miracle berries can't be leveraged at scale to make ultranutritious food taste great. but it always feels like a thought with an obvious answer i am too stupid to deduce.
0gs··on VC isn't VC anymore
i can't believe the whole blog post was just the tldr. this is going to be a legendary series of blog posts! j/k i WOULD like to read the long version of this but i probably won't remember to go back to this blog.
0gs··on Google Antigravity introduces Boost deep reasoning (/boost)
you're telling me an AGENT is CONTEXT-AWARE? what a time to be context aware
0gs··on The Universe as a Minified Bundle
sometimes i feel like the reason nobody ever posts their raw prompts (or at least extremely rarely) is because even though we all know our prompts are not golden geese, they still feel like that in our hands. i'd bet everybody's prompt writing style is like a fingerprint and we all assume they look like our own.
0gs··on OpenClaw 2.0, Accidentally
you can try mine: github.com/0gsd/enough ... though it is for text planning more than coding, it does fit your criteria :)
0gs··on Silicon Valley is in denial in face of widespread backlash
you know, ascribing states of mind like denial to entities like "Silicon Valley" is almost as bad as ascribing consciousness LLMs
0gs··on Nvidia agrees to acquire Hugging Face for $13B
Gemini did a good job of explaining it. fwiw, it may have helped that i accused Gemini of leading me to a "scam site" like "mega dot com"
0gs··on The Harness Is the Thing
Fable is pretty good at routing to Opus and Sonnet though, especially if you ask. also, sometimes just because it decides that's what it feels like doing at that point.
0gs··on The Creation of Abulafia
i read FP before the da vinci code came out and i still can't believe it wasn't a bigger controversy. dan brown jacked the whole format.
0gs··on Ameliorate
this is interesting, does it use IBIS on some level? i discovered IBIS and added it and mermaid diagrams to my app but it was a bit of a lark. i think what i pictured was similar to what you have here (and should be possible though i have not tested the IBIS > mermaid pipeline).

in any case: cool

was this anti-claude polemic written by asking grok to pretend it is claude or did they just use claude?
0gs··on Show HN: 1667, a terminal UI for writing fiction with language models
what you are describing is exactly what i built (or tried/am trying to). it's called enough: github.com/0gsd/enough. it is difficult to evangelize because most LLM tools for writers generate prose. i suspect eventually an audience will come around to it, but who knows.
0gs··on Stripe Clinches over $7B Deal to Buy AI Firm OpenRouter
yeah, i bet this seems like a good deal in a few years, we'll see. remember Poe haha that was a similar kinda thing but openrouter waited until the market was mature
0gs··on Why does Opus 5 feel worse to work with?
i am having fun imagining an agent existentially freaking out while trying to parse this directive since inference is the entirety of their world
0gs··on How Claude's text watermarking works
this is so funny. it's literally just the claude voice. that's not just load-bearing, it's belt and braces
0gs··on Hello, me. It's been a while
wow. yeah, can confirm. for me, no podcasts really, no videos on phone, no audiobooks except to fall asleep.

and being forced to be alone with my thoughts is awesome because i am optimized to seize the opportunity.

0gs··on Pixel Watch 5
i gotta say that new pebble is nice enough and integration cozy enough that this is less tempting than ever
