Probably because OTR only works when both parties are online at the same time.

Edit: that said I haven't looked at their solution. Maybe it has the same issues. Or worse.

There's also Threema http://threema.ch using NaCl for their crypto (open source). It works on iOS and Android and has a very good UI. Encryption can be verified, for those who care: http://threema.ch/validation/

(I'm not affiliated, I just really like the product and it's the first one I was able to convince family and friends to use)

Mailvelope is excellent. It was the first time that I'm able to convince my non-geek friends to use PGP encrypted emails.

A lot of rich people actually contribute their wealth to society in a much more efficient and effective way than most governments do.

People still do have work, though. They just work "black" and eventually receive unemployment benefits at the same time. The official numbers just don't reflect reality. That said, the economic situation in Spain is not great at the moment, but still not as bad as reported by the media sometimes.

I believe that's also true if you're a team. In my opinion even more, because you don't have one person being distracted by too many things, but can distribute tasks to various people, where each of them can focus on those that are related.

To me it wasn't painful at all. Compared to a lot of other crap that makes it onto the front page of HN I personally liked this story.

Also, not everyone who shares their stories and advice must and can be a great writer. The idea behind the story is what counts. Of course, if a story is also entertaining to read that's a bonus.

I'm also looking for Spanish TV shows (on the Internet, since I don't own a TV), that have subtitles in Spanish as well. So far I only found them with English subtitles, but I guess they must exist in Spanish, too, for example for hearing impaired people.

Great idea. I develop many projects that are non-public and this is a nice way to get publicly credit for them as well. I guess that there are many people out there who don't actively contribute to open-source, but are still great developers.
