I can’t decode French elitism.
I however am not Europe based.
I expect what has happened is that she had solicited funds for her campaign and received unusual flows of money, considering she resides in Mexico, to her account which then triggered an issue with her bank.
The world ought to come together in a way to collectively navigate a US-exit. That is the only solution I can see. It will not be palatable to Trump, who will probably want Europe, China, and India to become isolationist themselves.
Interesting times.
I have nothing to say about Ukraine. My original root comment is simply that weakening TSMC’s capacity by spreading it to the US is not in the interest of Taiwanese security. But as I responded elsewhere, this is probably just optics.
But, I think I see where you’re going: the US preemptively destroying Taiwan’s fab capacity…
If you throw away democracy do you still have a USA to speak of?
I think the answer to that is no, though perhaps I am mistaken that every US patriot has fealty to the constitution.
If I were China, I would give them relative economic independence if they limit advanced process silicon to other countries and let Huawei and others monopolize the advanced nodes. The US at present does not appear to be a dependable partner.
US tariffs will not matter when you are blockaded and Chester Nimitz is very much dead.
The reader can decide if they want to go further. Thanks.
Also, enjoying your submissions, but please pace yourself.
I’d appreciate your thoughts. Perhaps if they’re detailed enough you could blog about it. Thanks.
He later discovered why Coq, Isabelle/HOL, and other tools did things in certain ways [2] (which were more “natural” to computer scientists) but by then his advocacy and inertia (the growing, curated MathLib) cemented Lean as the tool mathematicians tried first and sort of stuck with.

The problem is none of these hardware vendors have enough customers for them to be open with their specs. Even if they did, the majority of their customers would not have the expertise that you’ve hired for to competently take advantage of that interface. Instead, they’ll lob some HAL code at the customer, and if their orders are big enough, give them support. Internally, these hardware vendors will have multiple sourcetrees for each customer, and one customer’s fix will not be reflected in anothers for fear that it’ll break whatever the other customer is doing with it.
:(
That said, I hope you guys are supremely successful and spark a change in culture.
My, unpopular, opinion is that ML will not be successfully applied by the US military, because the culture of US tech is to exploit the customer, in this case the Pentagon. I expect the Chinese will be far more organized and thoughtful about integrating ML into a broad warfare strategy that isn’t just expensive razzle-dazzle.
That’s why I’m super curious as to when and if the current administration will touch military spending and organization.
I think the goal of the administration is to let China take Taiwan, but before this happens poach as much talent and knowledge from TSMC (hence the overtures of splitting Intel) so that when Taiwan destroys its capacity on attack it’ll be business as usual for the US.
Taiwan is certainly in an extremely unenviable situation.
But that’s the plan, I fully believe, to make America great yet again, all that Taiwanese industry will get reshored here in the USofA.
Once you learn how to program in an algebraic way (without effectful code strewn around all over the place) it really becomes a superpower.
Maybe he’ll crack why DNNs work, whatever that means. To answer that question you have to formalize what it means for them to “work”. Good luck defining that in a reasonable way.
