It's because eastern european forests are cheap: https://www.romania-insider.com/schweighofer-sells-forests-r...

It also looks like reboots between bootstrap stages.

Rust looks like Facebook, while C++ looks like every publishing system out there (Wordpress, Django, Drupal, MediaWiki, static sites, etc).

You're a lot more restricted on FB but you also can't host your online store, or really anything except: messages, groups, events, photos and videos.

C++ could probably be more regulated for certain scenarios, but if people don't paint self-hosted blogs as evil, why paint C++ that way ?

After someone spent 15 minutes typing a wall of text, it might be rude if you ignore it. Them asking first allows you to tell them to hold off until later.

That must work great with your bosses.

Except segmentation faults and accidental rm -rf's haven't put me in a wheelchair or unable to function properly, yet.

The Pico is also much smaller which sometimes does matter, and probably uses much less power including sleep states.

Sounds like a performance issue that Zoom/RingCentral need to fix. My laptop takes off even with my camera off, when there are others with their camera on. Meanwhile VLC can play x264 movies without the fan running.

Would an n-way conference over ham radio offer good enough latency (if all participants are within a couple km and the signal among everyone is good enough) to make band practice possible ?

BTW, how does ExaGear compare to qemu for running x86_64 on arm64 hosts ?

I bet the developer who made the commit that triggered this wasn't expecting it would have such an effect.

From a distance it looks like a personal preference thing: some people that prefer the KDE desktop environment might just prefer the GTK dialogs, controls or UI decisions made by certain GTK apps.

GtkFilePicker can't be worse than the Windows folder browser dialog: https://i.stack.imgur.com/umdE9.png

You have to scroll through that keyhole of a window that you can't resize and it starts with the Desktop, so it's "Desktop - Computer - C:\ - Users - Me - Documents - Images - ..." every time.

Looks like a job for a fuzzer.

You probably know about www.i-dont-care-about-cookies.eu, but just in case.

Horror movie scenario I can think of: by 2021 it becomes obvious that Xyz vaccine gives you a 50% chance of some terminal disease within 1 year, and companies use the government list to refuse to employ you.

So what's missing is a "don't notify" flag when posting to a channel ?

The email text was just 7 paragraphs of Linus explaining how he doesn't like late pull requests, so I think the title matched it perfectly.

Evening-and-weekends time isn't for more work. Either the current position works for you, or you start interviewing elsewhere.

I wish Wireshark also had tabs that you could clone with middle-click.

The more common the name, the more important the project. Even more so if it reuses the name of an existing project.

Would it matter, as long as you can build and flash it yourself ?

We need an urban dictionary for trademark names. Search for Grana Padano there, then go to Youtube and search for Grainy Po Valley Cheese.

It's not so great when you change one cpp file and run make.

> Go to ... GPU Memory and change it from 16MB to 64MB

... should be "64MB to 16MB".

Quite a typo in your last sentence.
